Thank you, everyone, for your friendship, prayers, fun and support! I am packed and ready to go, although I realized that the detailed allergy charts that I created needed a modification this morning.

I had a nice call yesterday from Foxfanvox and Tarheel, who had good things to say. Tarheel is a retired nurse and she gave me some good ideas about questions to ask today, but even she had to laugh when I wondered if they would replace the part of my skull or would I have an inflatable kitty door over my ear?

Sometimes, you have to laugh.

I will be out of communication range for a while - after surgery, I can expect crashing headaches and wobbly walks.

I will think of you all and miss you while I am alert and lucid. When I am asleep or under the influence, I can’t be responsible if I dream that your toothbrushes also were accidentally cleaned in the dishwasher. LOL
