isn’t it funny—sometimes I wake up with a story or poem almost fully formed in my head, needing only minor details to make it work. Sometimes though... LOL

He recently had a 3 month cruise aboard the Chosin getting ready for this 6 months deployment with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group.
My picture is from an earlier deployment aboard the USS Port Royal.
CINNAMON SUGAR TORTILLA STRIPS
Ingredients
3 8-inch frozen flour tortillas
4 tbsps unsalted butter
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsps granulated sugar
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Directions
Step #1 Cut the tortillas into 1/2-inch-thick strips.
Step #2 Heat the butter & sugar In a large-ish nonstick
skillet over medium-low heat.
Step #3 When the butter has melted, add the tortilla strips.
Step #4 Cook, until the tortillas are lightly browned
& crisp, stirring frequently, about 5 mins.
Step #5 Sprinkle top with the cinnamon.
Step #6 Serve with the ice cream
or dip in whipped cream(if desired).
