Why should I answer a question from a biased article on a “progressive” site from a troll who joined FR a few day ago?

How about a leave me alone conservative.
Out of curiosity, I wonder how long the list for liberals is.

Hm, it’d probably fall under “religious right” because I like Justice and want to see it done uniformly and equitably... esp in regard to Congress and the like.
Though there ARE parts of “Econ. Libertarian” in there, as I don’t believe that it is Congress’s job to control the market... and I’m very much against the arbitrary-taxation that will come about because of “cap-n-trade”.
The one regarding American military superiority is a load of BS though; mostly because it is absolutely foolish to get into the mindset of “we’re the best, nobody can stand up to us!” because that will merely encourage laxity in guarding weak-spots. It is best to go out with the wary mentality of we’re going to do our best to win, but we need to be on the lookout for the enemy and his tactics, as well as being aware of our own weaknesses (which the enemy will seek out). Sun Tsu put it this way: appear weak and disorganized where you are strong and ready and appear organized and strong where you are weak.

These are ridiculous characterizations put together by a ‘progressive’ group. Conservatism is really best characterized, IMO, by a recognition of the rights of the individual against group or governmental tyranny. This includes the right to own property, self-determination, the right to prosper based on one’s efforts, the right to speak freely, and so on. The term ‘progressive’ on the other hand, is really a misnomer, as most who would define themselves this way in America espouse views that are old and proven by history to be untenable. For example, ‘progressive’ fascination with the obsolete and proven ineffective socialist model. ‘Progressives’, are basically intolerant of anything or anyone who doesn't share their world view, and favor suppression of the individual in support of what they myopically believe is in the best interest of ‘the people’. ‘The people’, when used in this sense, is a highly impersonal term that relegates all that are not in the ‘decision-making’ class into a monolithic group of ‘the governed’. It is a highly repressive world view that suppresses individuals, and ultimately holds back real progress.

What a load of crap. Right & left in America are primarily defined by individualism/limited government on the right vs. collectivism/big government on the left. They start moving farther "to the right" in their hate filled & bigoted definitions and suddenly it's all "white," "neo-nazi" and xenophobic. What does that have to do with political beliefs regarding individual freedom & limited government? Nothing.
"Far right" sounds an awful like like "far left" to me, just proving that "far right" in their terms circles around to become far left totalitarianism & tyranny. Fascism is about as big government, intrusive and anti-individual rights as you can get, meaning it's in fact far left on the American political wheel (vs. spectrum).

From the link:
PRA publishes The Public Eye, our signature quarterly, presenting insightful reports by scholars and journalists on trends within the US Right. (link)
Special Reports: PRA produces timely reports on specific right-wing movements or strategies. Past reports include Calculated Compassion, a detail of the Rights attack on gays and lesbians through the “Ex-Gay” movement, Decades of Distortion, an account of the Rights strategy to scapegoat welfare recipients, and The Pioneer Institute:Privatizing the Common Wealth, a profile of a state-level conservative think tank.

I meant business nationalism. I went back and looked at link again. I think the divisions could have been a lot clearer. Maybe one from A, and one from column C.

After further review, this site you linked to is most definitely a collection of sad Marxist pap. All of life is a class struggle. "The Christians are coming! The Christians are coming" People that start business to crate wealth: Bad. People that form groups to use the power of government to parasitically exist off of those that start businesses to crate wealth: Good. Blah blah blah.
I see you've been around here for a few days, and this piece of dishonest, leftist trash is your first post. I call troll. Get lost.
