Thanks, Meg, of course some of that was in jest! The man who came and fixed the tire and the automated caller kept me laughing hard for a while and all the time I was thinking “what a crazy world this is”.....in case you didn’t read my post, the man was working on the tire when the automated call came in to tell me that he would arrive in 15 minutes. And when he was finished, the automated caller said “he should be arriving about now.” Now, isn’t that crazy and funny? Then, the automated caller asked me if I would like to answer some questions on the service and if I could have talked to it, I would have said “no, but I would like to tell you what I think of your automatic calling.”

Well, here I am hallucinating even more....LOL!

You knew that, didn't you? We knew that wasn't his bottom part, but I just recognized it from Marilyn's picture that was fresh in my mind. It was with the ballet dancers, too, LOL! Goooollllly, what a memory I have left as of today. Yes, I'm joking!

It was absolutely hilarious and my mood had been a little sour until then. The Lord works in mysterious ways, huh?

My husband loved country music! I’ve heard him sing that! We ought to look that up on Youtube!

Good afternoon, Meg.
Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.

FishHawk asked me to send this to you.
It is a pen and ink he did a long time ago.

Here are a couple of songs about birds and the Jerry Reed song is about a talking bird.

I like some of the other versions better than Skeeter.

That is why I posted the poem “Life” by Emily Bronte’s sister, in #1769, Billie. Courage and Hope overshadow trials in our lives

I was pretty sure of that - you tend to share many poems and graphics here that are so often an extension of an earlier post - keeping the theme of the day alive. Thank you.

I dunno - Maybe it was this one?

May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose

May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose
(Neal Merritt)

One fine day as I was walkin’ down the street
Met a beggar man with rags upon his feet
Took a penny from my pocket,
In his tin cup I did drop it
And I heard him say as I made my retreat.

cho: May the bird of paradise fly up your nose
May an elephant caress you with his toes
May your wife be plagued with runners in her hose
May the bird of paradise fly up your nose.

I was way behind one day to catch a train
Taxi driver, “said we’ll make it just the same”
But a speed cop made it with us
And as he wrote out the ticket
I stood by politely waitin’ for my change.

CHORUS

Well, my laundry man is really on his toes
Found a hundred dollar bill among my clothes
When he called me, I came runnin’
Gave him back his dime for phonin’
And I heard him sayin’ as I turned to go.

CHORUS

Recorded by Little Jimmy Dickens

Awwww. :( Dark clouds, car troubles, computer problems.....don’t know about the car problems, but we surely can blame the weather and the computer problems on Al Gore....

Such a sweet face - raccoons are so adorable. I agree, some of the poems and graphics have been real heart tuggers today. A little different - hope not too depressing. Amy’s cute cow jokes have broken it up a bit. :)

Fish Hawk, for the darling raccoon pen and ink drawing.
I am really enjoying the baby raccoon visits to my patio lately.
Thank you for posting it, Amy!
