Tell your hippy dippy friend that the great raid on SS was done by Pres. Johnson (demo) Clinton also taxes SS benefits but it was never blasted in the Media...Bush and the republicans rescinded Clintons tax....How do I know? I was on SS when it happened..and my accountant explained it to me.. My sister who is older and I and also on SS didn't even know of the tax...
