stfassisi,
Before you get emotional about my last post, stop for a second and do this.
Get to your Catholic Bible and look up what it says about false prophets. Particularly read Matthew 7:15, Matt 24:11; Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; 2 Peter 2:1; 1 John 4:1.
There are going to be false prophets to arise all over the place and WILL deceive many. Don’t think the hierarchy will survive. It will not. Many true Christians will be beheaded for their testimony. But they will graduate to a higher life. And the antichrist to come will take advantage of the tools left for him to rule with his false prophet, but only for a time.

Absolutely.
That which is not true Christianity will succumb. I expect MANY Protestant denominations to line up for the mark.

The true church (Catholics and Protestants) will probably go underground. The religious institutions (Catholic and Protestant) may exist above ground. I agree that Christians will not submit.

The true church is in Christ. Many Catholics are in Christ.

Agreed. And there are many non-Catholics that are not. This isn’t about labels. It is about belief.

Pride in a denomination or Church building or comfortable pew or weekly church attendance for fire insurance may be slippery slopes to hell.

The Catholic church has been the persecutor throughout history, Tell that to Nero!
The institution as a whole is not warm towards Benedict XVI. Evil will overtake the Roman institution. Mark my words.
Evil has overtaken those who believe such nonsense.
This type hatred of the church has been going on forever, yet the Church still stands strong even when wounded it produces a whole host of Saintly children who bring forth great love and charity into the world.
True Christians will be persecuted
They already are being persecuted,if you're not, perhaps you need to ask yourself why.
I have nothing further to say to you and I pray you find peace in your life

What if in some sense blogger is right. Will you go underground to celebrate mass or go to the church building to do it.

I think the weeds will celebrate mass above ground and the wheat will celebrate mass underground.

No, sorry, Im not slipping and sliding, you just havent done your homework on this. The Osservatore Romano is a newspaper. It only dates to the 1860s. It aint part of the teaching office of the Church. Period. Are you willing to state hereon before God Almighty . . . and perhaps all the saints in Heaven . . .
THAT
1. YOU PERSONALLY BELIEVE EMPHATICALLY THAT:
2. The Vatican NEVER uses the Osservatore Romano to
COMMUNICATE to the faithful and to the world perspectives, points, ideas, priorities, beliefs, positions and the like . . . which
3. for whatever political, sensitivity, geo-political, sequential, contextual, theological, etc. reasons
4. The Vatican doesn't believe an encyclical would be quite fitting, most useful, most politic, most helpful
5. In a given world, Roman Catholic, and/or other situation or possible, plausible, probable situation. . .
6. Yet, which, for whatever reasons, need to be put out to the public in some semi-official/official form?
????????????????????????
IF you can say that emphatically, then I'll have to ponder the implications of such an assertion. Remember, according to your construction on reality, Mother Mary is watching regarding honesty, truthfulness etc.

BTW, it appears increasingly that the Vatican has been co-opted by the oligarchy and may already be largely in their service. Then I should be getting a better car soon.

1) Does the tin foil hat have to be a Faraday cage to be fully effective? I would think so - but with the Faraday cage the foil hat shouldn't even be necessary. My old Physics professor at Pitt may have a spare in his office I can borrow. Pretty cool demonstration piece!
You might even say that a tim foil hat is a poor man's Faraday cage. You pay for what you get.
