Do you have “Who Knows Where the Road Leads” (or something like that) by Enya?

It is called The Hoopoe (pronounced /ˈhuːpuː/), and is the National Bird of Israel. Fun to Google this one. When his feathers are up on his head, it is called 'crested'. (There is some interesting information about this bird in the Bible - surprising that Israel chose it as their National Bird, one year ago.)
To: yorkie
I saved a copy of the Hoopoe and made a new graphic. No wonder it looked familiar. Thanks for the info, Yorkie.

I don't know whether or not I have posted this one earlier.

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR
If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull, but that's not the worst of it.
My fenders are too wide to be considered stylish. They were once as sleek as a little MG; now they look more like an old Buick.
My seat cushions have split open at the seams. My seats are sagging. Seat belts? I gave up all belts when Krispy Cremes opened a shop in my neighborhood.!
Air bag's? Forget it. The only bags I have these days are under my eyes. Not counting the saddlebags, of course.
I have soooooo many miles on my odometer. Sure, I've been many places and seen many things, but when's the last time an appraiser factored life experiences against depreciation?
My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close.
My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.
My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it - almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter.....either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires

WOW .... Just WOW.
Billie, Today's Opening Graphic is Beautiful!
I love the music; I have it playing as I post.
Thank you for Today's and Every Day's magic with the Openings.
I admire and appreciate the beauty that you bring to our little place.
:) I just wanted to read that post again. :) Thanks, Amy - you sent me so many kinds of graphics to work with last week I haven't had to look for anything else to inspire an Opening poem/song post!
I need to go walk the dogs - back later.
yorkie, love the setting for the Tea and - as I wrote - Symphony!

Just like your bird!
LOL!
I started getting this ready right after you posted that bird and a friend (my used to be neighbor) called and we were on the phone more than an hour and it made me nervous 'cause I have so much to do! What can I tell you? Thats the way it goes somedays.

LOL! Sorry, Billie. My bad. Automatically typed the wrong word.

Some humans try to look like a flower or bird.
Somehow it just doesn't work.

Thank you!
Thank you!

You are so welcome! I do, too, now that I know what it is! There are some songs that I hear and never catch the name or the artist. Now I know! I’m saving it, lonestar!
To: yorkie
LOL! Sorry, Billie. My bad. Automatically typed the wrong word. Not to worry - I got to wondering if I maybe did the same thing in my opening post, rather than the play on words that I intended!
To: Billie
Mornin’ Billie.
Great Songs... Thanks

To: Diver Dave
Hi, Dave! Thanks - hope there are some for everyone. ‘course if one’s a rock or rap fan - they’ll have to look somewhere else! Not my cuppa tea! At. All. :)

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Maj. Jason George, USA, KIA 21MAY2009
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
God Of Our Fathers

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace! We who remain hold you in high honor. Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct; We who remain keep this place sacred. Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades; We who remain keep the watch. Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nations call; We who remain press the fight forward in your name. Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden; We who remain have taken up the torch. Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!
