All this talk is taking me back to my youth when the dentist would drill out cavities using a slow drill and no novocaine. The pain and the smell were exquisite. Just don’t have that kind of fun anymore.
I’ve used it for years, one has to get used to that metallic taste.
It’s recently gotten to the point that it isn’t a recommended method of disinfectant for human tissue (according to a nurse I work with).
A salt water wash is better. I don’t like all the chemistry the peroxide causes — especially when you have a lot of metal filings. There’s some other issues, too, iirc. I’ll try and respond more in a couple of days on this.
Lot’s of advice already!
Been using it for years. There are times when good old fashoned Listerine works better, but it does present the alcohol hazard, so I mostly use the peroxide. A spoonful of honey will also kill the bacteria quite well, and deal with canker sores etc.
