She Remembers
She sits and rocks on the porch, as dusk dims down
in that little tattered house, on the sadder side of town
Time dressed her in smile lines and sadness too
and she remembers all the times as time itself flew
She remembers him, and his smile and that stray curl
and she remembers the ring and set of matched pearls
She remembers smiles, and the wry gentle way he’d grin
how that first year, they were content to just live in sin
The years the tears, the times good, and sometimes bad
the children, their daughter, and their son, that good lad
One now a happy wife, mother of her own broody band
the other lost in a foreign land, amid the dunes of sand
The seasons come and go with every hurrying speed
And memories stick with the tenacity of a garden weed
She remembers and smiles, for she has been a part of it all
And will take that with her when the Loving Master calls
Driving home from PT I heard Howie Carr say Boston's channel 5's chopper coverage of our tea party was periodically breaking into programming though I haven't seen it in channel changing the past hour.
I certainly enjoyed your poem, Johnn. Its so lovely, we can all take a part of that one! Thank you!

I meant I googled to search for backgrounds..
I thought I had saved too many backgrounds..LOL You have me topped.
Thank you for thinking of my daughter..No news today..She goes to the surgeon tomorrow to get assessed.

No new news...I left her a message on the answering machine..I know she feels rotten so I don’t expect a call..She said yesterday that she has a date with the surgeon tomorrow to assess whether to remove the implants.
She has lost so many crowns and had them replaced..She has a dry mouth condition that leads to decay despite her best efforts with floss, etc. She does not have gum disease..which is the usual problem..She just cannot retain her crowns any longer.
The pain goes into her sinuses.

Poor kid! The mouth is a bad place for pain. Tell her LJ says don’t be macho, meds are your friend.
She can still do partials, yes?
It is..She takes meds..They aren’t working.I think the numbness is scaring her, too..like muscles are affected in her face on one side..
