I hear you about the prayer thing for Lent Miss Didi. I have to pray constantly that the Lord help me keep my anger (hate?) down for the usurper in the white house and consequently our country going down so fast. Really really hard.

‘American Idol’ contestants head to Motown

DETROIT – “American Idol” contestants will be heading to Hitsville USA’s famed Studio A in Detroit to be mentored by a pair of Motown legends.
Founder Berry Gordy Jr. and singer Smokey Robinson will film segments Thursday with “Idol” contestants who will be working on Motown classics.
Gordy representative Nancy Neiman tells The Detroit News the two men will be on “a tight schedule” and will leave immediately afterward.
Security will be tight, and the set will be closed.
Neiman tells the News the clips will air during next week’s “Idol” performance episode.
The trip will mark “Idol’s” first visit to Detroit since the popular Fox network singing contest auditioned for contestants during its second season.
Motown is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Ehh...I think she got the boot (and they didn’t save her) b/c of the big “AI is Rigged” article this week. She was in the “top 4” named, and she was the most expendable.
Blind guy survived last week b/c of the sympathy vote and the PC vote. They wanted to prove they are “diverse” and let him go on tour, if you ask me. He’s the weakest one there, blind or not blind....it’s a singing contest.
I thought maybe they'd keep her just so there would be a more equal amount of males and females on tour although it didn't seem likely that they'd use the save so early in the competition...and your point about the AI is rigged article makes perfect sense so Alexis unfortunately had to be sacrificed.

They already act like they’re royalty.
That’s why I listened to Scott with eyes closed just to shield out all but his singing. It was really NOTHING SPECIAL. Looking at him and knowing he is blind gave him more brownie points that he deserved.
Lucky him; he gets to go on tour. But he won’t — shouldn’t — be on Idol much longer. I am sure Scott does not want patronization. He only wanted a fair shot, and not to be discriminated AGAINST because of his disability.
Meghan is a little weird, but she is really good. Listen to her with eyes closed and you hear a very UNIQUE and pleasant voice.
It makes a big difference when you close your eyes and judge them on vocal quality alone.
Maybe the judges should try it!
