TO PANSIES by Robert Herrick
Ah, Cruel Love! must I endure
Thy many scorns, and find no cure?
Say, are thy medicines made to be
Helps to all others but to me?
I'll leave thee, and to Pansies come:
Comforts you'll afford me some:
You can ease my heart, and do
What Love could ne'er be brought unto.
To: MEG33; All

Look closely.
Do you see an angel
When you look in the face
Of a Pansy?
To: yorkie
In the last breath we exhale the soul
leaving behind this life’s bitter toll
and lift into a new plane to explore
as we step through Heaven’s open door
Spirit of the soul and all our memories
passing into the next as quiet as can be
we lift our eyes to the waiting Throne
and know at last we have never been alone

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today; And give us not to think so far away As the uncertain harvest; keep us here All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orcahrd white, Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night; And make us happy in the happy bees, The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird That suddenly above the bees is heard, The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill, And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love, To which it is reserved for God above To sanctify to what far ends he will, But which it only needs that we fulfill.
Robert Lee Frost

Wonderful poetry, L. J. and love the yellow flowers. Are they buttercups? I am not expert on flowers like my Mom was.
Meg knows a lot about flowers. They are sorta shaped like forget me nots but they’re not forget me nots.

Thank you JOHNN - beautiful words.
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. Rev 4:1-2

That frame was intended for those very flowers, Meg! Beautiful!
To: jaycee
They’re evening primrose because they close at night. I have them mixed in with creeping jenny which looks similar but is a ground cover.

Beautiful, LJ. I looked at some more pictures of Evening Primrose, and I think yours is the BEST on the net. (Are they yours?)

Our wild evening primroses are pink or white with yellow centers..I think we called them buttercups when we were kids.
