I think you are right, except for McCain. But I’m not calling you an idiot, however, if he does vote no, please refrain from calling me an idiot. If, though, he votes present does that make us both fools?

“The last I heard he opposed the bill as written, if his recent history means anything, a little more wasteful, deceitful spending would probably seal the deal for him.”
Yeah, you’re probably right.

Alexander (R-TN) Lamar! Alexander is one of my Senators. I called his office yesterday, voiced my displeasure with this bill and let him know that my wife and I would be watching closely.
I hope every Freeper will do the same and contact their Senators. We really need to melt the phone lines (again). The Republicans have no business supporting this boondoggle. Let the Democrats lay claim this one all by their lonesome.....

0 would drop Lugar’s name every chance he got during the primary to show he worked well with Republicans. Lugar reminds me alot of McCain - Proud of his reputation of being bipartisan. Your typical go with the flow spineless jellyfish. Any guesses if any Dems. will vote against?
To: wny
Following the example of House Rs none will vote aye.
...and I admit to being dogged optimist.

Lugar reminds me alot of McCain Except Lugar spends and taxes more.

What about Specter? I think he votes for it. I also think McCain will either vote no or present in honor of Obama.

As if calling the criminal Dodd or the useful idiot Lieberman's office will have any effect. Well, bending over, grabbing your ankles and taking it will most certainly have an effect. At least calling your Senators will give you the satisfaction that you did something. Apathy is what got us to where we are.....

ONly a person who truly hates this country could vote for this legislation. It tears up so many freedoms—all your medical records will go into an electronic database, no more privacy; socialized health care for most of the country, meaning no more choice/privacy or ability to pay privately for health care you want but the government says you don’t need; mortgaging our children and our children’s children’s future...ANYONE who votes for this bill hates our country. Do the Senators HATE our country this badly?

Thank you for that very useful list. Did you know SCHIP puts legal immigrants’ children on Medicaid right away, no waiting period?

I will not be at all surprised if Voinovich travels with the LibTards on this one, like a great many of his other votes.
At least he’s not running for re-election...
