That’s great on the ASVAB!! My grandson is 5’6” and had to get up to 118 pounds before he shipped out for bootcamp. Turns out, his height and the fact that he is so wiry, were bonuses whenever he got teamed up for an excercise.
ALL the recruits wanted him in their groups!!
Anoreth will do great in the CG.

DP is 5’11” and weighed about 118 when he joined the Air Force in 1982. Bill’s got the thin build, too, but I think he’s going to be several inches taller.
Darksheare was in the Army even though he’s lightly built; it can be an advantage.

My grandson is the driver of a Stryker, probably because he has scoliosis, and is limited in how much he can carry.
I’d like to see him stay in, mostly because of the medical, but I don’t have too much influence with him, these days.
I don’t think a man can be judged on his height. I’ve seen a lot of smaller men who loomed larger than life, and big ones who were small and mean.
It’s what they learn at their mother’s knee that counts.

The Army took him with scoliosis? That’s kind of surprising, but since it’s worked out, great!

I was a 13B, was my gun section advanced party man.
Being short and skinny had several advantages for me.
Mainly, nobody ever saw me walking through on my area sweep.

It doesn’t seem to be severe enough to limit his participation in a lot of things, but when he has to carry a pack that weighs more than he does, it’s a little difficult for him.
They wanted to give him a medical out, but he refused it. He didn’t want to leave his buddies.

"The Army would let her do *anything*, until they read the part about her being 51 and weighing 100 pounds in boots." I'm curious about something. What are the minimum dimensions one can adjust that new power amplifying suit?
And why did they choose those dimensions?

Odd part, the shortest man in all of Field Artillery was Ekerath Lavarne at 4’8” tall.
Don’t recall offhand his weight.

"Odd part, the shortest man in all of Field Artillery was Ekerath Lavarne at 48 tall." Not only that, but think of all those circus people who got shot out of cannons! You can bet they weren't all big and tall, (especially afterwards).
It's hard to find people of that caliber anymore.

I should add that haggis is traditional for Burns' Night dinners.
Still a couple of hours before dinner here. Service at 6:30 PM, then down to the Parish Hall where I gather one or more of our master chefs (we have several) will be whipping up an Irish dinner for us.

Corned beef, no doubt.
Had a corned beef hash (with eggs, etc.) for brunch Sunday after the service, a special at at our favorite breakfast place (I didn't know it was a chain). My stomach hasn't been that happy in a LONG time!

Which probably means it's bad for me. But I see it's on the regular menu...
Time to head off to church.
