What happens if you are too thin? To be more precise, what doesn't happen, if you are too thin??

In show biz and the fashion world, nothing. Unfortunately. Personally, I think the ultra-thin androgynous look is pushed by all the gay men in show biz and fashion. They keep trying to make women look like young boys.

Ok, I have to be more obvious. Guys, turn away NOW!

I was talking about their cycles. I think they deliberately get themselves so thin, so that their cycles stop. Females athletes often stop having their cycles if they don't have enough body fat. This would be a win/win for models. Super thin, none of the various problems associated with cycles. Just something I have thought about for a few years.

And while folks are focusing on Kelly's black shirtwaist dress, what the does Fantasia have on her feet?!

Ok, the other day I came across some pictures of Carrie at the Wax Museum and I was going to post them for jonny, BUT look at her feet. When you posted the pics from Disney World, I deleted them! I just re-uploaded them! So, we have to be careful. I don't care who is wearing them, I think they are ugly, but hey, what do I know.

I think that dark purply red color is really attractive. My oldest has that color right now (she’s a natural brunette) and one of my friends who is in her 50’s has that shade as well. I’m fair and blond though so it would look awful on me...but I really, really like that color. It’s not a haircolor found in nature but it doesn’t shock the senses as much as the bright pink does!

Too much 'sexual chocolate'?

I think sexual chocolate is one of those negative calorie foods, like celery. ;-)

Why pink???? I don't exactly know, but she was about 28 or 29 in that pic. Is she getting away with it there?

'Why pink' as in why such a small window? There just is. Once you start your adult life, things like that have to either be toned down or put away if you want to do things other then be in a band or give tattoos for a living. I think your friend pulls it off, because she's in a band. If she were my realtor or investment banker, I'd wonder about her.

I have tattoos (3 and one is fairly sizable) but they are all in areas that are easily covered, because I work in an office and have to look professional. A lot of people don't even know I have them (then when they make disparaging remarks about other coworkers with tattoos and I tell them I have 3, the look on their face and the backpedaling is awesome).

What's really interesting is she is one of those nice gracious people. One with the most courteous manners even a debutant would envy. IOW there's no ruff there, until she's on stage.

The other thing is she's got a great big dragon tatoo across her busts. Not that I've seen her tracks of land, but the tat is so large over her real estate area. (/Smokey Back Room)

I'm sure she is. I have no problem with her hair and wouldn't judge someone's value on something like that. Like, I said, I have tattoos which are much more permanent then her hair.

Maybe things are different in other place. Here if we want to be taken seriously in a professional environment (like I said, I work in a large office), then we are expected to dress and look professional. That is all I am saying.

There are some women who have the 2 tone hair....the ‘drastic’ 2 tone hair ...blond and black. One I know of is in a management position where I work — and I thought it was tacky being in her position —although I liked it. What do you think?

I’m a bad one to ask because I don’t really care for that style in general. LOL

That is a fun look I think...but not a very professional one, IMO. There are subtler ways to have that look...like blonde on top with copper under-that one is quite pretty and not so glaring.

G'morning Fawn. To me that Joanna chick is just a cookie-cutter type chasing the big time the same way countless numbers of young women have always done. She advertises that she's cheap, shallow and easily bedded, then wonders why no one likes her, and why she can never quite break into the big time. Living in Los Angeles, just four miles to the beach and a short freeway ride up to Hollywood and Beverly Hills, I can tell you with 100% certainty that her type is a dime a dozen out here.

Joanna's exposure on Idol might get her some gigs, but unless she has something more to offer than what we saw on AI, she's never going to have much of a career.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly with all you've said. It's the same hear, I'm just commenting on the two contrasting, or rather "seemingly" contrasting make ups. If find it a little refreshing people have a little wild streak...

I think it can work either way. Personality is key, but RK is absolute right. You can't put some pinkhaired, tat exposing, waistepant chick in a professional office and get away with it even in today's environment.

There has to be a standard.

AI changed the orginal group of 12 by switching the two guys who “sang off” at the end. Matt the bald welder is now in this week’s group, replacing Michael the oil rigger.

Thanks. We’ll have to keep an eye on it, to see if that is true. The AI website still shows Sarver. I also checked a Sarver site and they still show Sarver. I’m not sure that it would make a big difference or not. There are 4 strong guys in this first group. Danny, Anoop, Sarver and Braddy. Danny’s probably a sure thing. If we swap Sarver with Bteitzke, it doesn’t change anything really. Anoop, Breitzke and Braddy would be the next three.

Seems Joe’s Place has posted a new blog and the AI site says their web person made a mistake and Sarver is IN the first group.
