Agreed - we have a daughter in college and she would never dress (or undress) like this. Good luck with your daughters.

By points, it should go to Oklahoma. If one were to add up total points scored against Big 12 South teams and subtract total points allowed, Oklahoma would end up on top.

This is, I believe, how the NFL breaks ties after conference, division and common opponants records.

. And Texas’ only lost was due to a dropped interception by freshman.

and I could make the argument that OU’s only loss probably occured because of 2 personal foul calls on a player out of bounds trying to keep someone from getting hurt.

This would work only if you prorated points with time the starters are on the field. OU had 50 in the first half 2 or 3 times. Bradford (46 TD passes) almost never played the 4th quarter. OU could have scored 100 in a couple of games, easily. To go with a point system would encourage running up the score. OU has more class than that, although most of us wanted to keep running it up on TT because Leach does it to everyone else.

Does this mean that if Oklahoma loses, Texas will end up number 2 and play in the national championship?

Could this well be a case where Texas comes out ahead by not having to play an extra game, since they are currently ranked 3rd?

OK. Yes. You are absolutely right. UT came back from two 11 pt deficits, and a half time score of 21-20 (OU in lead) to win by ten points on a neutral field. All of this was because of "2 personal foul calls on a player out of bounds trying to keep someone from getting hurt." How can I argue with that? You are a brilliant college football analysis and I am WAY out of my league.

You seem to lack the basic understanding of the BCS rankings. Without patronizing you too much, please allow me to help you out. BCS rankings are determined by a simple formula.

A = Harris Poll
B = Coaches Poll
C = Throw out the high and low of the six computer rankings for each team. Add the remaining four. Divide that total by four.
Result: A+B+C = Total Score

The Harris Poll is “compiled from rankings submitted by the Harris Interactive panel of former coaches, players and
administrators, and current and former members of the media.”

The Coaches Poll is obvious and requires no explanation.

Therefore, 2/3 of the BCS is subject to feelings, not facts. Stick to things you know about and leave the analysis to those of us that have done our homework.

Give it up jerk. I did not say that was why. I said I could make a silly argument one way just as someone else was trying to do the other way. The point was take care of business and DON”T LET IT GO TO THE 5TH TIE-BREAKER.
Maybe we’ll loose this week & you’ll get to go.
Chill out, until we have a playoff there are always going to be people who get screwed.
BTW-If tou think there is controvery over 3 teams and a 5th tie-breaker, wait till it’s an 8 team playoff. Imagine the tie-breaker scenerios and how many will fill like you do every year.
