The wind just shifted down here, what’s the weather doing up your way?
Cold and windy since about 9:30 this morning and getting colder. Before that it was warm and humid. Crazy weather.
Covering plants again.
Shhhh, don’t say “cover plants” very loud. I am too full to go out and pack in five gallon buckets.
Dried out here, temps dropping slowly (at the moment).
We were only paying 65.00 a night about 20 miles from the track.
So, we'll see. ...the hotel is so much easier, but being at the track for 4 days would be fun.
glock gave me your address.
Years ago.
Chocolate chip or peanut butter?
I had to move because he gave it to Beau also...
LOL, actually like oatmeal better. ;)
15 degrees here tonight. I’m going to cover up the outside faucets, and bring in the brass monkeys.
Youngest daughter just caught a bus to Brighton Ski Resort. They have night snowboarding. Lessee heah... 10 degrees and 10 mph wind puts the windchill at around north pole. Kids.
At least we don’t have an earthquake, and all our plants turned brown and froze a month ago.
On the upside, I’m learning drums. Always been a guitar, woodwinds and keyboard man till now. I went to the music store this fall to buy an alto sax, got sidetracked by a tenor recorder, and came home with a flute. Don’t ask.
Maybe something to offset the three classical and two steel guitars and the Stratocaster. Sure wish I had the Sun amps and towers of my youth about now. I’d hook the synth and e-piano up and scare the dawgs.
Hey Pete... remember the Shamrock’s Almost All Indian Band (or whatever they were called)? That was a hoot. Pete played drums, I got to occasionally sit in on rhythm guitar, and who knows who those other guys were... as I recall, we were, at best, LOUD.
My favorite recollection is the night SLPD rounded up some of the native side of the band outside trying to steal a parking meter at closing time. They actually did wiggle it out of the ground and carry it off like a team of BUDS trainees just before the gendarmes, conveniently parked across the street in their paddy wagon, came to visit. I had no idea the pipe on a parking meter was buried that deep into the ground - that had to be eight feet long, and they carried it away, complete with the cement plug on one end... a band of indians spiriting away their steel and concrete lollipop.
Man, the band was hot on the weekend when welfare checks came out. Kinda Merle Haggard for the rest of the month though.
Heh. B & I know people In High Places.
OATMEAL????
Over pb or choc chips????
Oh man.
Grumble mumble...off I go, shuffling to the kitchen. Me and the walker.
Shuffle shuffle shuffle. The things I don’t do for some of you...
Why???
Fits in the backpack easier. You ever go hiking with a sax?
Hey, wait a minute... didn’t I say don’t ask?
Can't say that I have!
Hey, wait a minute... didnt I say dont ask?
You did. I chose to ignore you! Bless my heart and all..
Go bake yer cookies. I’m going upstairs to play drums - poorly.
Have fun with the drums!!!!
Now that's chilly!
I closed the house up tonight when it dropped below 77.
That’s sweet. :)
Someone around here made cookies for all the grandkids, but didn’t make any extras. :(
I have forgotten the punch line to that. Refresh my memory...
All that rain we were promished didn’t arrive?
