A horrific toaster incident is how I ended up in this weirdo dimension.
That there was a sword stuck through the toaster is merely a trivial side note.
Sister’s cat “Shadow” has quite a few words.
Usually “I’m Shadow!” and “Mommy”, but lately he’s been using “Oh No” and “Oh Wow” more often.
He hasn’t had occaision to use “Hello” recently, he hasn’t had anyone to freak out with it.
He did repeatedly say “No” out the window at the weather.
I shall have to inquire of sis as to what that was about.
That cats don’t break out into conversation with us is due to the fact that they don’t have much to say to the humans under their power.
They can communicate the obvious things, like “Our bowl is empty!” or “You’re going to bed now!” with simple telepathy.
Ice.
Rain, sleet, freezing rain.
All the good stuff.
NiMH has this wierd ear wiggle thing going.
He flaps his ears like little wings and makes this pathetic whining yip.
Of course, he’s dad’s cat, so this is normal.
Kearen simply gives a fixed stare.
Not good driving even when you know how.
Yeah, and the missus is angry at me that we didn’t go do a certain errand we are tasked to do on Thursdays.
A hill we need to go over was quite thoroughly messy last night and we’d have paid for our insolence in making the attempt.
We’re about to get some of that here in a few hours.
Sunny and 50’s here, but still wet from the previous 3 days rain.
Mild flooding on Rutgers Creek.
There were some roads underwater here this morning, after last night’s rain. All gone by now, I’m sure.
Everything seems ready for the arrival of the DOG tomorrow. Anoreth and DP are supposed to be in Columbia (SC) at 10:00, so they’ll leave about 8:00. The cage arrived FedEx today and is set up with a blanket. Got the food, the bowls, the collar and leash. Shannon is very nervous; she spends more time in Anoreth’s room (watching the gerbil) than Wednesday does.
We also had some snake excitement today. Susan slithered into the innards of the recliner. Eventually she decided it was no fun and came out, but we were worried that it would be a long wait!
Shannon needs to borrow from Karsh Kentu’s book: never let them see you watching.
I’m certain that Wednesday does give a passing glance or two at the “Cat TV”.
But not obviously so.
(Sis’ cat Shadow would watch the mice, but only so long as you didn’t see him watching.)
We had some heavier rain earlier, I’m told, but it’s light now. Though the radar shows a slug coming in. It’s chilly out but too warm for snow.

Are you seeing the big northern front yet?
Good for you! I'm looking over your reading material.
So far, everything looks fine.
Then again, the main part of the cold front was forecast to come down west of us, out where the radar can't see it because of the Olympic range.
I'm still expecting freezing and maybe snow by morning.
Good. I’m sure it’ll be much more entertaining than PL 110-334(? the financial bailout bill I’ve been reading the past day or so) .
All precipitation on the East Coast is currently snow.
You can see the weather map at the bottom of my about page. It updates every fifteen minutes.
