> ...oh, and she guesses shemight become an American citizen now. No thanks, New Zealand can keep her and her ‘great’ intellect seeped in literalism!
Nuh-uh. Nuthin’ doin’. Finders-Keepers-Losers-Weepers. You know the rules! We lost her fair and square. She’s your problem now, sunshine.
> Well see how NZ fairs if sun spots dont appear soon...
Late summer. Outside the wind is roaring thru the jungle where I live, in the mountains west of Auckland. The power only just came back on an hour ago, after being blacked out for a while...
Boo, scary! Maybe AlGore the Inventor of the Internet(R) was right!
> See what living in New Zealand will do to your brain!
No, but I can see what having Lucy Lawless in your country has done to yours!
Actually, this is just down the road from where I live:
There is a colony of penguins that live for part of the year up at the north end. They come to Piha Beach to nest.
Lucy Lawless grew up a short drive from here.
> What will it take for your nation to take her back?
We’ll surely have her back — but she’s probably annoyed that John Key is our Prime Minister now. I don’t think she’d come back here willingly.
Beautiful.
> Beautiful
All of the beaches are free for the public to use: there are no private beaches anywhere in New Zealand. Piha itself is protected by law against commercial development, which helps to keep it a very nice place to visit.
ROFL...although, I really don’t think ‘we’ found her. I think she just followed us home and hoped we’d ask Mom if we could keep her.
Become an American Citizen? I hope not! I'd rather see her deported halfway back to Kiwiland ... If the denizens thereof want her, they can come and get her. If not, she can live out her days with the gooney-birds on Midway.
> If the denizens thereof want her, they can come and get her.
Nuh-uh, no way in Texas. That ain’t how you play Poker. You guys won her fair and square. We wouldn’t dream of cheating you out of your prize.
> If not, she can live out her days with the gooney-birds on Midway.
With the added bonus that the gooney-birds won’t care one way or t’other. I’m in favor of that!
