The popular vote does not determine the winner. If you can’t put up with whiners whining about not liking the outcome I’m not sure you have the courage to be a voter.

Don’t put words in my mouth. I never said the popular vote determined the winner of the election.

The losers always find something to whine about. After this election, I’d rather hear them whine about their ideas being voted against rather than McCain’s.

I can guarantee you that after voting in every election I was eligible to for the past 35 years, you calling me a coward is not going to stop me from voting for McCain in a battleground state nor stop me from driving others to the polls.

Isn’t Beck a Mormon convert and a Romney supporter, some of them just won’t take the right fork to Palin land.

*****

Beck was neutral towards Romney never a supporter.

You really still those voices running around in your head....

Ditto for me.

You sound more like an airheaded, hostile democrat, incapable of engaging in rational and civil debate. I think we all know who the idiot is in this “discussion.” I suspect that you are particularly obtuse so I’ll spell it out for you, IT ISN’T ME.

Just in case you’re mature enough to realize that you’ve made a fool of yourself and are willing to learn from the situation, I’ll give you a chance to engage in a real discussion devoid of name-calling.

Where am I wrong? What have Republican politicians done for you lately? I see the GOP moving left as the dems move far left. How do you plan on convincing these self-serving, greedy politicians to do what’s right? The only recourse we have is to send them home and teach them a lesson. Business as usual isn’t working for me. I want to see the people I vote for actually stand up and fight the far left loons and their social engineering and socialistic wealth redistribution schemes. I would like to see the people I vote for actually go on the offensive for a change, rather than wilting under the constant barrage of crazy accusations from the left.

And can anybody tell me what’s so great about John McCain? This is the guy who co-sponsored an immigration bill that was estimated to bring fifty million immigrants to the United States. Do you remember the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act, S. 1033, better known as the Kennedy-McCain bill? I mean, COME ON! He sponsored a bill with Ted freaking Kennedy! Before McCain somehow managed to secure the nomination for President all any of us heard about him was how liberal he was for a Republican politician. Frankly, I’ve been wondering for a long time why he doesn’t just register as a democrat and get it over with.

I think you’re getting too hung up on the fight between right and left; you’re taking it too personally. The real issue at hand is saving our country and our culture. Letting these politicians run amok, advancing their own agendas with impunity, never being held accountable, is what is causing all our problems. Re-electing republicans (and I have been voting republican for more than thirty years) no matter how badly they screw us isn’t going to help. At some point they MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. It may hurt for a while but in the end we will all benefit. Surgery often hurts more than the condition for which it was performed, but in end the patient feels better.

I would be interested in reading any rational response.

Finally, something resembling a real reply! A question though: If we vote in the better weasel, what incentive does that weasel have to be less of a weasel, or perhaps even an honorable public servant?

By the way, I have been telling everyone that I was fed up and was going to vote a straight democrat ticket, but in the end I just couldn’t do it and I sent in my absentee ballot for McCain. Part of me, though, hopes that the Republicans lose because I think they need to learn a hard lesson about NOT screwing us.

To answer your question- none. There is no incentive. If anything, our vote may solidify their resolve. Which is why we are where we are. So I agree, a lesson is in order, but I think the best time for the lesson to take place is during the primary.

I speak with several folks around here that state they have always and will always vote democrat. And yet I find that they agree with me on various issues that would otherwise be held by a conservative or even a libertarian. But they simply refuse to vote republican because they have been told and they believe that republicans and conservatives are bad.

I am interested in hearing from you and others the criteria for your ideal candidate. For me, it is someone who will work to reduce the size of government; enforce existing laws; and promote the virtue of achievement and accountability. I think too many Americans have become dependent on the government. I wonder if many of us have forgotten what it means to actually work hard and sacrifice towards accomplishing a goal. That doesn’t mean the candidate or the candidate’s party should rub it in the faces of the opposition, instead they should inform, instruct, and maybe even inspire and convert those that oppose them. Show them what works and why it works better than what they practice.

Sorry, I don’t know. I haven’t listened in a while- but only because I’m at work and too lazy to tune in to an Internet broadcast.
