Why would someone pay $150 for a pair of jeans that in my opinion are worth only $40 tops.

Walmart sells the house brand "Faded Glory" jeans for $8.00 each. That's what I'm wearing right now.

How about we let them charge what they want and then we take away all of their profits through a windfall tax! Heck, let’s make it so that the most anyone person can make in a year is 200k. We’ll split their money between the rest of us! I mean, it’s not like they need this extra money. (sarcasm off you effing idiot)

There is something instinctively bad about predatory interest when ALL the issuing banks seem to march in lockstep.

You're right. But we need to make sure the solution isn't going to be worse than the problem.

Apology accepted, I am not a troll. See my prior posts. They should clarify matters. BTW, this post was just an IDEA, put forth for discussion. Some took it personal. I am not 100% sure if this is a good idea or not, but it is an issue worth discussing rationally w/o insults.

What I like about the idea is the cap doesn’t stop business, but sets limit to the predatory practices of credit companies ... they would still have room to compete for customers. I’m wondering though, if these little tweaks that cause government to hold peoples’ hands don’t accomplish the wrong thing in the long run, like dependence upon government to be nanny. Sometimes failing is instructive.

I checked. You're one of the good people. Nice to know you :)

Still disagree about the credit card issue...
