Good. Real good. Even when she sounded nervous she was still fighting through it. You can’t help but feel empathy watching her, obviously nervous similar to a Jimmy Stewart character, but she was the real McCoy, not an actor. The really important aspect was her ability to still charge on in a personable frankness.

I only had time to see about 30 minutes of it, but I can’t say Sarah did too well, in my humble opinion. She sounded motivated, but played the hockey mom roll a little too much. Biden sounded like everything was preprogrammed into his brain.

Sara addressed the people both with her demeanor and, more importantly, actual EYE CONTACT with the camera.

It was truly tremendous.

Biden didn’t stick his foot in his mouth like I was hoping...

Sarah was absolutely devestating. They will tell you there were no knock down punches, but there were. Sarah just does it with a smile and seems so, so.....so nice!

The McCain/Palin ticket will bounce in the polls.....until McCain f***s it up again.

Dump McCain.

She did very well. I’m glad she mentioned that she preferred talking directly to people, rather than being filtered by the media. It showed! Hey, vet, thanks for your service!

She kicked butt, did a great job. The glaring problem for me was that it seemed obvious that she had been forbidden to stray much from the “bipartisan” line of crap on the financial crisis.

Biden set it up PERFECTLY for her, with his absurd nonsense about how Obama was trying to warn people years ago but was blocked by McCain, yada yada puke. That was when she should have let fly the bombs of truth, including names and quotes that make it irrefutably clear that Democrats in general and Obama in particularly are up to their eyeballs in this mess. Instead, we not only didn’t get that, but she changed the topic, letting Biden’s pack of lies go utterly unchallenged.

Don’t misunderstand: I do NOT put the blame for this on her. On virtually every other topic she was engaged, compelling, sparkling. On this one, she was obviously coached in her response, and the coaching was an abysmal mistake. This financial mess, which should be laid squarely at the feet of Democrats, is what’s propelling Obama’s gains in the polls, and if McCain does not abandon his current idiotic approach of dealing with it, I believe we will lose this election.

In foreign policy issues, yeah. But she did well on the war questions and energy and middle class and health insurance and public school ed. It seriously was like talking to the lady next to me at the gym.

I noticed that the lighting for Biden, who had no shadows, was better than that for Palin, who had a shadow under her chin. Subtle sabotage?

Palin did well, but I fear that rhetoric will defeat truth. Say hello to at least 4 years of Obamunism. Most Americans are idiots, and will fall for the slightest hint of ‘gettin theirs’ from other people’s paychecks. This is coming from a lower middle class, hard worker. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong, but I have a heavy heart tonight. I am praying to God that truth prevails.

Yeah, his eyes looked so lifted, he'd have to stand on a ladder to put on sunglasses!

I sure loved how Sarah looked tonight. A special thanks to the MSM for lowering expectations to the point where she could slam dunk the debate!

I tried two times to vote, it was both 0%. Then a third time, I voted, it turned out Biden won it. The nerve.

-Was it just me or did Gwen arrange it so Biden had the last say on most questions?"

Biden would jump afterwards and say "let me just respond to that" - and MOD would let him jump in, and he wound up getting the last word several times. Palin never tried to "let me just respond to that" and get the last word.

Gov. Palin was extraordinary. She’s cleared the path for a McCain/Palin victory.

Godspeed to both!

Sarah was wonderful and Biden was his usual awful self.

It makes a difference when she isn’t dodging a “gotcha” question from some over-coifed talking head or having her comments laying on an editor’s floor.

If Sarah won, it’s only because the media shot themselves in the foot by portraying her as a dufus.

If Joe won it is because he was dishonest in portraying himself and McCain.
