Dolly, I loved your doggie picture. Bet Lori loved this one.
Hope you’re doing good these days. Bless you.
On a crisp October morning, our local newspaper featured a stunning photo of sun-drenched aspen trees whose leaves had turned autumn gold. The caption read: FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY. The irresistible invitation to take a drive through the mountains to savor the brilliant colors conveyed the urgency of doing it quickly. Autumn leaves that are golden today are often gone tomorrow.
Our opportunities to obey Gods promptings are also fleeting. James warned against an arrogance that assumes endless days will be available to carry out our good intentions. You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. . . . Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin (4:14,17).
Is there an act of kindness or encouragement that God has urged you to do for someone in His name? How long has it been since that first prompting? With so many demands on our time, the urgent tasks demand our attention while the important things can be postponed. But a time will come when even the important can no longer be done.
When we follow Gods urging with our action now, today will be golden.
Thank you, Dave. I did have a very nice day (but, it’s not over - I actually celebrate my birth WEEK, so I still have a few days of it left). ;-)
Good Morning Mayor and all...
Great Devotional this morning.
I am reminding myself over and over the next few weeks that God is in fact in control!!!
Waving from a record breaking hot Los Angeles...

Pollywog, what if you had a cold 36 early this morning. It turned real cold yesterday afternoon and last night I switched to heat to warm up the house a bit. But the 36 surprised me.Thats what we get in “good old Tennessee”. LOL!
I played this last night as I was logging off and one of my cats was sitting next to me taking a bath. She immediately stopped, started looking around like, “OMG. She brought home MORE??”
Finally she saw it on the monitor and couldn’t stop staring at the cats. It was so funny!
Woo hoo... just found your Snickerdoodles recipe...
When it cools down this weekend I am going to make some cookies!!
Polly
I would love a wee bit of that , but not any lower thank you! My husband was born in Tenn. and would give anything if I would agree to move back there. But all our children and grands are here in Los Angeles!
When we went to bed last night the house was 89 degrees. We broke a record here in Los Angeles yesterday of 100 on October 1st.
Waving from Grand Island and Western New York.
I love October!

Thank you for this lovely Daily Bread, Mr. Mayor. I enjoyed it so much I forwarded to one of my good friends just now. Good lesson, for sure.
Oh my how beautiful. When I saw “You Are So Beautiful”I thought BILLIE! Gonna listen right away. Check back in with you and good morning, Amy!

Morning.
Been wandering, as usual for me.
Just had to write when I listened to Taylor. I will get that tape today I hope! Even if I have to have them order it for me. I can’t explain my mood after listening to it. I love him. HE IS BEAUTIFUL FOR SURE!
The darn song wasn’t long enough! I wanted more, more!
Enjoy your day. I have to put color on hair today and go get it cut and fixed. There’s an afternoon shot....women will do anything, huh?
Yeah, it has been 8 years here on FR.
And I didn't even notice what day it was...oops
Thanks!
Was tormenting the rest of the denizens of the Dimensional Doors thread with odd songs.
