Amen, Kitty. When I hear those folks hating our country (which I did this morning on Cspan), it just hurts me from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. How can these people harbor this hate in their hearts. They have no God. They are evil. As evil as the ones who did this horrible thing to our country. Thank you for expressing exactly what I feel in my heart. God Bless You, Kitty.
Beautiful, Meg.
Love it! She is a Miracle!
Weinie will be going , too, but I've shut her down for the time being! LOL!
You and yours are in our prayers, Lonestar. Take care.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, lonestar.....
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. |
Some of our friends have chosen to curtail or leave their ministries this year. They did so in order to care for family membersfor aging parents, ill spouses, siblings, or children with special needs. All were involved in fruitful works for which they were uniquely gifted. All believed that there was much to be done.
Some have chosen to reduce the time and energy they spend on those ministries; others have left their work completely. These adjustments have been difficult because ministry has been their lifeworka work for which they spent years in preparation and had many years yet to serve.
It occurs to me, however, that they have not given up their lifework but rather have assumed another. Loving and caring for others is our lifes work, and caring for those of our own house is the highest and holiest work of all. To deny love is to align ourselves with a cold, uncaring world.
Not everyone can leave a career or calling to care for others. Financial realities and obligations may dictate otherwise. But is not such love the mark of one who does the work of God? Did not Jesus promise that one who gives a cup of cold water to one of His children shall by no means lose his reward? (Matt. 10:42).
I've got a question:
Do community organizers with ACORN help register the dead to vote Democrat?
Bet they have to do a lot of Sittin' Up With the Dead
Well there was a story about a NY politician who wanted to be buried in Chicago so he could keep active in politics.
I thought I would duck in here quickly and post a link that my son sent me to a great website where you can track the storm in real time. As some of you know, he works in Chevron's IT department in San Ramon, CA as a Security Analyst. His job is to keep Chevron's servers, located around the world, secure and running smoothly. His department is on pins and needles as Ike bears down on Houston. Houston is one of Chevron's primary headquarters. He will be monitoring this situation closely over the next couple days.
Of course, whenever a storm this fierce hits populated areas, lives are at stake, and that is everyone's first concern.
Watch the storm in progress in full screen
There are several tools on the StormPulse screen to move forward in time and to track the projected path and wind speeds. You can also find the distance, in miles and projected time, from the storm to various cities. It's a very interesting site.
It does not look good for Freeport, Galveston and Houston right now. Everyone in Ike's path, please be careful and let us know how you are doing after the danger is over and you can get back to us. You know how we worry about our FRiends.

LOL. According to “A Conservative Looks at Linden Johnson” (I’m sure that was the name of the book although it does not appear on a Google search), registering the dead is a common occurrence. Apparently they get a good turn out among deceased voters and they dont have a problem correctly punching the ballot cards unlike some of the ante-room-temperature individuals.
