When you go back to that link now (after your first visit) it morphs to McCain/Pawlenty. I fear giving them any more 'hits' to see who else it goes to...

Bummer.

Guess we’ll find out Friday.

A solid conservative would be a plus for McCain.

Romney would be a liability for McCain.

I have a little fox terrier named Rascal and if McCain selected him for VP, I’d vote for McCain.

But then again, I would vote for Rascal, if McCain was the VP.

I would vote for an old Gumby around here in one of the kids rooms before I’d vote ObamaNation.

Having gotten that out of the way, a female would clinch it and tear away alot of Hillary voters IMO. A pro-life conservative female would be better than Lieberman and Romney has too much baggage, as does Giulianai and of course Huckleberry.

But I bet it’s Romney and McCain still wins, but closer.

this is what i've been saying... no one seems to believe me... people think that a female vp nominee will attract female voters... this is not so! someone who votes for a woman simply because she is a woman is a LIBERAL voter... and a female LIB will never vote for a conservative woman just because she is a woman...

I wouldn't rule out that they might do just that, with the right woman. Palin isn't that woman. I support her, would much rather she be on the ticket then McCain, but she will not draw socially liberal Democrat women to the ticket. You're right about that. If McCain wants a woman that may appeal to them he'll choose someone like Condi or KBH. The latter more likely.

McCain needs to send the Secret Service over to his picks home, around ....... 9-10pm on Thursday evening.

That will get the media going.

And they will probably do either a picture in picture or a crawl along the bottom about McCain’s pick. Right when Obama is coming out of the Temple of Doom for his speech.

If McCain times it right, he can get a lot of free air time on Thursday, even though the media will not cover it as deeply as Obama. Then make a big splash on Friday and the weekend leading up to the convention.

This will be a nice contrast on how to announce your VP, vs how Obama did it.

Personally hoping for Palin, but I think Pawlenty or Cantor.

I hope he picks Pawlenty. There was a nice article about him in National Review last month.

I have hit refresh about 20 times and it stays at Pawlenty. Either it is on a time cycle, or the Veep has changed.’

Romney reminds me of a male underwear model in a JCPenney’s catalog.

I don't think any of the women mentioned are a good match with McCain. I'm a woman. I'm tired of all this choosing to appease women or blacks.

Get the best person, and IMHO, a woman is not among the best choices.

Very interesting. You are correct. It now says Pawlenty. I still think that link is:

1. Someone trying to make a buck or

2. Someone (McCain) trying to build suspense.

You are right...it could be a 'timed cycle.'

I live in Westmoreland County...the event Saturday is in Washington County...and I don't 'know' anybody down there for any scoops. :P

McCain needs Romney to smack down MR. Delaware. There you have a guy that started and restarted businesses vs. a guy that gulped down coctails in whatever Senate bar for years. The stupid things Biden says leads me to think he’s been around there far too long.

Taking a company from $4 million in sales per year to $9 Billion per year in 10 years is pretty good in my book. Also, eBay has billions of free cash and NO debt. The public stock price has gone up 1230% in that period.

Not exactly “running it into the ground”.

As far as running for POTUS without prior elected office experience, the first name that comes to mind is Eisenhower. I would value CEO experience much higher than elected office experience any day. IMHO.

Eisenhower, you mean the Supreme Allied Commander of the Allies in Europe during WWII, the planner and commander of D-Day, Supreme Commander of NATO and of NATO forces in Europe?
D-Day and E-Bay not exactly the same experience, I like Meg, I can see her in the cabinet, maybe Secretary of the Treasury, Commerce or Labor, but I doubt McCain will choose someone with less experience than Obama and take that issue off the table. An issue they have been beating Obama about the head with words from people in his own party.
