Mazda Protege. As close to perfection as possible. :)
First car was a 1967 Dodge Coronet. It was trashed. My sister ran the heck out of it and sold it to me for $50. My dad and I got it running working on it in the drive.
Since then I’ve owned a lot of cars, most of them just utilitarian vehicles.
Favorite car, is a tie. A 1972 Camaro I had when I was 19, and the 1987 Corvette I currently own.
67 powder blue Barracuda convertible great car however it was a 6 cylinder.
First Car - 1967 Nova 2-Door with a 327 and a Powerglide transmission. Favorite car was car #2, a 1966 Nova SS with 327 and Muncie 4-Speed. I was in my Don Johnson and perm faze at the time and, sadly, won’t be posting pictures.
My first car was a Renault 4. Underpowered, difficult to brake, and lightweight to the extreme. It had two accelerator pedal positions, off and floored.
Man, I loved that car. It took me all over the place, and never let me down. I repaired it with hanger wire, shoe laces, handkerchiefs and a stick, and it always made it back from whatever adventure I was on.
What a great, and awful, car!
1966 Chevelle SS396 HiPO. Going places fast -— LOL
First car was a Sunbeam Alpine. My favorite car was my Fiat 124. I had to give it up because it was not to California emission specs and I was moving thither [It was a bad trade]. 2nd best is my Jag X-type. Very very close 3rd was an Alpha 164. All of them are great cars.
1970 Chrysler Newport.
We called it the Tuna Boat. And it had a set of cajones under the hood.
My favorite by far was a 65 Olds Delta 88. It had a 425, 360 HP engine which I am sure was very conservatively rated as it would fly. It also had positraction which always made a noise but never tore up. My Father bought it new, then my brother had it then me. It was still running great when I sold it with over 200,000 miles.
One thing I recall was how it would effortlessly cruise the interstate at 85 and when you floored it, despite it being a family sedan, it would literally roar and set you back in the seat. What a great refined and comfortable, yet powerful car.
1964 Rambler Marlin red with black stripe, holly 4 barrel, v8 !
I have an early 90s toyota. It is presently on its last furlong in the great race of life I supsect.
If I could have any car it would be another toyota (but newer :) )
or a honda.
I’ve always kinda wanted a mustang though
LOL I had 2 or 3 Granada’s
First: 1965 VW Bug with 1192 cubic centimeters of POWER BABY!
Best: 1965 Mustang Convertible, only six cylinder (yeah, but I am working on it)
Favorite for One Day: 1932 Packard, convertible, straight 8
First TR4
Favorite 74 Alfa GTV
It’s been Lamborghinis all the way. Don’t care much for the Ferraris, and told my daddy so!
