Soft is the heart of a child
Do not harden itNow that ranks up there at the top of the list of words to live by.
It gave me pause to think back on our daughters as they grew from infants to adults and parents. I guess I did something right without your words of wisdom.

I wasn’t allowed in the pond fairly nearby my house (we called them tanks) It was where the cattle drank..The guys would sneak off and go skinny dipping..I know because I was not allowed to go into the pasture during swim season...LOL
Believe me they did not have that clean look either.
It’s 79 out..I haven’t gotten a drop of rain but emjoyed the cooling down the showers nearby brought.
Wow, Amy..It is really hot there! How’s Marissa’s pool? Did you get the leak fixed? I’d probably be in it myself were I you!

They tried for years to have children and she had two in quick succession when she was 44/45 - so they are children of older parents

Marissa’s pool is a sore subject. LOL
Our son had to leave Sunday before we could drain it and find the leak.
Since it is so hot, we filled it to about the 2 1/2 foot mark and let her play in it. We will drain it Friday so we can look for the leak on Saturday.
Marissa is enjoying it but she would like it filled. It is 42” deep when full. I would like to get in with her but I am a little reluctant climbing the ladder. Since having my knees replaced, I am not very confident climbing. I get up and down stairs okay.
I find a shady area and sit out with her while she plays. Sometimes she splashes water on me. Little imp.
