Thank you Mr. Mayor, for the lovely devotional....I can never read the words there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying (Rev. 21:4) without misty eyes.

Thank you, Cardhu. I guess some of the art is great, however, art confuses me at times and I wonder what makes it great. I don’t guess I’m the only one...huh?

Amy, good afternoon! I had to get up at 4:45 am. today to take my SIL for cataract surgery. Took a bit of my time to drink my coffee and be quiet. It was gloomy and raining so its been one of those days. I had to lay down a couple of hours to feel better. I tried to find something to cheer me up and you all, FRiends.
At first I thought it was dog beside the baby but take a close look. Sweet~~

Good afternoon, Jaycee.
Yep ... my Mom would sing that song to me, too. I guess that we all learned it from our Mama’s knee.
When Billie sent me that graphic, the Playmate song came to mind.

So sweet and beautiful. This one pulls on the heartstrings for those of us who have children or love children. Makes me want to go back and do it better! Guess we all did the best we could...we only think we could do it better!

What's ya bet this kid will be the new Hopalong Cassidy?
He probably began life about the same way ... right down to the bowed legs.

The part of the song that says “Slide down my rainbow”...my mama may have got it wrong. She taught me “rain-barrel”. Back in the ‘olden’ days, I understand people had rain-barrels
for collecting rain. Have you heard that?
I gotta get busy! Later~~~~

You are right, JC - my mama always sang “rain-barrel” when I was little. Another song she sang was “I love you, a bushel and a peck - a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.”

Yes Yorkie did a good job of putting them into a form for saving.

Several of the pictures in this presentation look like Leeann Rimes as a child. (I could be wrong - but the eyes sure do look like hers.)
Thanks again, Cardi. (And the music was perfect for the pictures and words.)

It must’ve gotten mixed up somewhere! I used to want to know what is a rain-barrel!
I also know that “Bushel and a Peck”. Years ago I have heard that one sung by some country star! Been a long while though!
A bit of junk news...when I was little, they took me to a fair. They had children’s sayings and mama said 2 of mine won. One was “pickles have chill-bumps” and the other was “weeping willow trees had long hair”. Well, duh???

The pictures are as soft as a baby´s skin - do you have pic of Leeann Rimes so we can check the likeness?
