Good Morning To Amy's Place

*HUGS*
Thank you for the well wishes and posts, everyone. My back
is much better but I will still be staying away from posting
and answering pings lest I go back to agony.
Happy vacation, Mama Bear.
Can't wait for The New Adventures of Lori and Nan.

Are you “pit nicking” me? Well, I have been commiting these “tips of the slung” all these years....just didn’t know what they were called!!

I have had fun reading these things this morning especially the “Pack of Cards” spoonerisms or as they called them “Cack of Pards”. I think I will just play all day....NOT! There’s a lot of other things on the website I found that I am very familiar with and also are fun!

Life is always fun and interesting!

Have a wonderful vacation Mama_Bear.
It's hard to leave our babies. It will be a relief to hear they are doing well with the puppy sitter. Makes it so much easier to relax and enjoy. :)

I have more of a problem with patience than some of the things on higher levels. I could never get above level 3.

Better With Age
Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. —2 Corinthians 4:16

Some people are obsessed with physical fitness—daily workouts, vitamins, organic food—in spite of the fact that our bodies keep ticking away in inevitable decline. In our twenties and thirties we think we’re invincible, but in the decades that follow, the eyesight starts to go, then the knees, then the mind. Let’s face it, trying to ensure long-lasting physical health is like trying to stem the tide with a pitchfork!

And while it is true that the older we get the worse we get physically, it doesn’t have to be that way spiritually. Believe it or not, it is possible to get better with age. It’s what the apostle Paul meant when he said, “Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (2 Cor. 4:16).

Many of us fear aging with all the trouble it brings. But when we are gradually stripped of everything that props us up—whether wealth, independence, health, dignity, beauty, or all of the above—we are left with more and more of God. So no matter how old you are, it’s not too late to dig deep in God’s Word and invest more and more time in your spiritual well-being. You’ll see the payoffs, now and later. The older you get, the better you can become!

Although our outward shell decays,
We still can be renewed each day;
Commitment to God’s Word and prayer
Give strength that will not fade away. —Sper

To get better with age, get spiritually fit.

Good Morning The Mayor :)
Thank your for the Daily Bread! I hope you are doing well. Did you get the rain yesterday. It was very welcome here. Plants and trees needed it so much.

Hi GeeBee. Yes, it is hard leaving them. We almost canceled this vacation because of them. But then, at the last minute, we found a wonderful pet sitter. We feel 100% confident that all is well at home with our two fur-babies.

Last night, when our plane landed in Boston, I turned on my cell phone to find a photo of the two pups standing side by side that Julianna had taken with her cell phone and attached a text message....."We're fine!"

I know she is doing everything she can to keep them happy AND us reassured that all is well and we don't need to be worrying about the dogs.

Today we are going to be doing some sight seeing around here, then heading over to Ashland where my mother and grandparents lived, then we are driving down to Plymouth to stay at a Bed and Breakfast overlooking the harbor. Will will spend a couple days sightseeing there, then we will be moving up to the Salem area.

It's raining, and looks like it is going to rain all week, but that's okay. A little rain won't hurt us. :-)

I know! It was raining when we landed at Logan and is raining this morning too, but just drizzling. It looks like the entire time we are going to be in Massachusetts is going to be rainy, but that's okay. It isn't going to dampen our adventerous spirit.

Today we are picking up our rental car and driving over to Ashland, then this evening will end up down in Plymouth. I am excited to finally be here and seeing the area where my family comes from. Later in the week we will come back up to Salem to see more of this area.

Hugs to my cuzzin Rus!

Sure hope we don't disappoint. LOL

So happy to hear that your back is better. Please stay away and rest until you are safely ready to sit at your computer again without having a relapse. (((((((MEG)))))))!

Fantastic trips Mama_Bear! We started our honeymoon in Boston. Such a great city. Plymouth is beautiful! You will have such a great time.

This is the sweetest thing she could do. She sent you pictures! Hoping someday to find a pet sitter like her. My dog is a nervous wreck when I leave. I really can't leave from guilt of that. I went to see my sister a while back and my hubby said my dog just sat at the window all weekend. That breaks my heart. ;)

So nice hearing from you two! Sounds like everything is going well and I must say it sounds like you will be having a wonderful time. Hope it doesn’t rain too much. Maybe you’ll have small rains that will dry up fast!

Rain or shine, have fun anyway...”dance in the rain” as they say!

I think these rains will cut the humidity back. I sure hope so. Humidity has been bad since mid June.
