Wow! That is great that thenewboy’s reading! Funny about the Jabba the Hut reference!

I remember when Matthew was three, we took him to a doctor that ran a series of tests on him. One of the questions was “Do you know what a factory is?” Matthew said “It’s a place where they make chocolate.” The doctor said “Yes! Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?” and Matthew said “No...Rack, Shack and Benny.”

The doctor had no idea what Matthew was talking about.

Oh...Hyacinth had babies! I think she had eight, but it’s hard to tell...they’re just a wiggling mass of pink right now.

With the converter factored in, the Preppy’s more than $6, no?

I was thinking of ordering one or two of the basic Preppy pens and seeing if the silicone grease seal works...one of these days. I’ll do more writing come fall. I’m kind of obsessed with music right now, with all the musical things going on.

There’s a jam this Saturday, and a free “pickers” festival next Saturday...I’m going to both of those, and possibly an Irish session in between. Woo-hoo!

Yes...I suppose that’s true. I wasn’t taking the converter into account.

Hey, I have a question...I have a Preppy converter...can I switch it out from one pen to another?

Check this out...this is cool...

Patience, grasshoppah.

In a mere 8 weeks, you get more than a bite! Heh heh!

And you very quietly get a bunch of fertilizer for your yard or garden to boot!

Will there be a garden after the rabbits eat it?

I got this...it comes out with shipping to be a couple of bucks less than anywhere else I could find.

Matthew can use a cartridge for a while, but eventually I'll want him to use the heart of darkness. I look forward to seeing how you do on your experiment. Eventually. When you get back around to your pen obsession. ~wink~

The converter can be moved between Preppys, but probably wouldn’t work with other brands. I have a Waterman converter I moved between two pens for awhile, when I only had the one converter. You’d want to do it when filling, though - not in the middle of a converter. Otherwise it’d be likely to make a mess....

I’ll have to check the video out tonight.

What can I say?

I’m something of a serial hobbyist....

Actually, it’s more like guitar is the most obsessive interest I have. If I get away from it for awhile, I forget how much it pulls me in. Lately I end up getting home, picking it up, and next thing I know, I’m sitting there in the dark ‘cause the sun’s gone down, I haven’t had dinner yet, the laundry needs doing and the dishes need washing, and it’s past time for bed.

Mandolin doesn’t do that to me. I think it’s that guitar is more challenging, because you can do a lot more than just play the melody line. Or something. Dunno. But I remember being the same way with it back in Germany when I was first learning the basic chords.

I wish I hadn’t stopped for over five years in between, though. :-\ I could actually be pretty good by now, maybe. Instead, I’m only just now getting to where I was when I left off.

No Twittercat heart, though. ;-)

She’d look mahvelous with a mat like that. Except she’d probably only use it if she wasn’t supposed to, cats being what they are.

And who are you.... Faramir? :~)

Good morning.

I've discovered in the last day or two that the two kittens who scattered and were lost in the great feral kitten round up indeed survived and are with their momma. So that's good news, I feared they were lost.

But now I'm gearing up to catch them. So wish me luck! I'll be using the live trap again... probably catch their mothers too again but I've built a little holding pen for them so I can reset the trap.
