LOL!
My son just called to get my email addy (again) so he could send me photos of his “new” house. He’ll be moving in the end of June, and I couldn’t be happier for him!
It’s a nice little place ($77,000) with a nice back yard, and a carport, and he plans on doing some interior work himself before he puts any furniture in there. I sure hope he doesn’t get tired of sleeping on the floor....
(Three bedroom, two bath.)

77k? I haven’t seen any houses for that in about 15 years.

That’s because you live where the silver-haired folks flock to stay warm in their last days.
It’s a VERY nice house, only seven years old, on a little over .30 acres.

Ah I see. Our old house in Ohio sold for 82k or so, long ago. It was about the same size, maybe a bit smaller, than the one your son just bought.

Well, my son lives off the beaten path, so he got a really good deal. In my really old age, he’ll have a room for me...*snort*
And with that, I’m off for the night!

We bought our house in Norman, OK, for $84,000 in 1997 - 4 br, 2 ba, 2 car garage, big yard. I think we got 89K for it in 2000. You just have to live where nobody else wants to live!

"You just have to live where nobody else wants to live!" That happens to me automatically. Wherever I am, nobody else wants to live.

Was it that bad in Norman? The Cleveland suburb where we lived has been in decline for years, so I guess it is where nobody wants to live now.

I am beginning to be able to tell your kids apart from your pets and other various friends and objects. Not knowing makes post more interesting though.

Well, she calls her snake Susan, and her youngest child Vlad.
No reason for any confusion there.

You (She) has a snake?
I had a snake once but I left it at the church when I fixed the sink. It was gone when I went back. I didn’t name my snake though.

Norman had some booming areas, but we lived in an older part that wasn’t in demand. The house was built in the early 70’s.

Susan is the snake. Jimmie and Becky are the gerbils. Wednesday and Shannon are the catz. I’m not aware of all the other pets’ names.
The children are Anoreth, Bill, Tom, Elen, Sally, Pat, James, and Vlad. Amanda is not one of our children. She’s a high school student who plays viola and sings in the Spanish choir.
And good morning! Raining again.
