That’s a really ugly emoticon.
Not to mention in bad taste. Literally. Please don’t grace us with something like that in the future.
We’re not all teenagers who think that’s “humor.”

Since it’s been brought up, I didn’t love it, either.
Howya, Face!

Howdy!
A balmy 71 here at the moment, and almost time to close the doors and windows to keep the cool in and the heat out!
I took my friend’s mother out for a “jaunt” yesterday, and it was fun for her. That’s all she needs to know! LOL!
I was on my feet about three hours longer than I should have been, so I was in agony by the time I got home. I slept better than I thought I would, actually getting in an undisturbed seven hours before I woke up. Usually the longest stretch is two or three hours, so I knew I had had a DAY! :o]
How are things in your neck of the woods?

Some family members are whiny!
I’m making a Plantain Dish for lunch - it’s like garlic mashed potatoes, only with plantains. I hope it’s good! Now I’m off to Google the fiber content of plantains.

4 grams each, or 2 grams per serving of my 2-banana recipe.

LOL!
My kids have all been fed and watered and are totally content doing absolutely nothing but looking smug.
I think plantains are like bananas. I think. Tell me what you learn!

The plantain dish was delicious! 4 Points. I’ll put the other 3 servings in separate ziplock bags and eat them over the next few days. I have two more plantains, so I can make it again on the weekend, if they haven’t turned black by then.
We’d been discussing Caribbean cooking on the NC board, as we often do, and I got the urge for grilled plantains, so I put it on the shopping list. However, I didn’t put the number or kind, so instead of 2 black ones, Der Prinz got 4 yellow ones. And thanks to “Healthy Latin Cooking,” I got a tasty lunch!

It sounds really good!
I have to go to the store in a while, but not just yet. I need to get a battery. A really SMALL battery!
But it will be at least an hour, maybe a little more.

Now you have made me hungry for a nice Venezuelan breakfast.
A nice areppa hot off the grill, some queso blanco and fried plantains all washed down with some fresh orange juice and very strong coffee.
Of course I would need to go to Miami to buy the cheese and cornmeal but I could use a break.

Hello!
How are things? Did you bring Mr. Teddy home today?

Alas no.
Now they are saying Friday. :(
If they do not let him out soon I think he will go stir-crazy in there.
The incisions from the original surgery have healed up very well which is something that we are very grateful for.

I can get all my Latin cooking supplies right here at the Wal-mart, except for platanos maduros, which I have to get at Harris Teeter (a “real” grocery store).

I don’t go to Wal-Mart much but 10 minutes there is better than a 2-hour trip to Miami.

We are getting our first Super Wal*Mart. I am hoping that they realized that there is more to Latin cuisine then Mexico. I'm off back to the hospital. See ya later

My inner beach bunny is kicking up a fuss.
She didn't get her normal February week of sand and surf so she is miffed.

"Hola?" Is it still Cinco de Mayo?
Looks like I'll have to get the lighted festive sombrero out of the closet after all.
