Did a quadruple today....
We were joined at our Veterans Without Families by the RNC tolling of the bells...they read the names and toll a bell for all who were interred recently...this morning was 83....Then, while graveside as the four VFWs were being interred, another vet arrived without any family...Robert Crook (before I forget his name), and we stayed and rendered honors as he was interred.
Following that, we proceeded to the Corona Veterans Center to join in a BBQ in honor of Memorial Day. I’m stuffed.
Now time to start work...

IIRC, RNC is out there near March AFB, correct?
Have they at least got water out there to green up the grass?
I used to drive by on my way out to visit my grandparents in Hemet, and the place was always dry, brown and just generally looked like Hell; a cryin’ shame for our departed heroes. I hope the situation’s been rectified, long since.

RNC is directly across from March AFB. They do an excellent job keeping the place up. Very nice and well manicured. It’s actually a quite large facility. I was told this morning that they still have 60+ years of capacity. I think I may end up there.
