You lightweights... (he says enviously).

At the time I was 3 pounds away from being rejected from the Vietnam draft...

I’d rather be tall than short but that wasn’t in the cards for me.

"... after work I went and saw a movie LoM said I'd enjoy a lot, "Iron Man." I'm a little gunshy now about recommending movies, but I was quite entertained."

Ah, yes, the comic book heroes of my youth.

Why did I have to become old before they made movies about them?

"NnBob? You're old??????? Could have fooled me..."

In today's world, where information is being added at such a tremendous rate that even the most educated and well-read person is more relatively ignorant at the end of the day than at the beginning,

... it pays to have a little perspective.

Accordingly, my perspective is that of a ten-year old boy. For me, the world is a mysterious and awesome place, filled with wonders and delights.

If I could just figure out what I want to be when I grow up ...

It is, and it never ceases to amaze one.

Um...grown-up? *\;-)

Good morning, Undead FRiends and all the catz who plenty of food in their bowl, so stop using that inappropriate language and get away from my hams.

“Netmilsmom” saw “Ironman” last weekend and really liked it. Anoreth and Bill can take themselves to the theater one day next week and see it at the earliest showing. It’s so nice having a teenager who can drive, in spite of the auto insurance rates.

She’s not dead.

She’s restin’.....

My Dad would lay on the couch Sunday afternoon, fall asleep, and snore so loud you were sure a steam ship was coming through the basement, but don’t dare change that channel...

“What are you doing? I was watching that!”

LOL.

What? Grown up?

To have "being grown up" as an actual goal?

How is that fun?

Hi, all. Busy day, sorta. Woke up late (8 AM), got to church a little late for Matins, stayed for Mens’ Breakfast, went off to help assemble yardsigns for a candidate then it was off in the direction of the airport to get LoM — whose plane was an hour and quarter late. Just got home.

Oh, no! Not my goal.

I'm just curious ... like, if it did happen, what form it might take.

You know, in the distant future.

.

Sometime ...

I don't think being "grown up" is a bad thing (and I'm NOT implying you said it was). You can still be curious about things (isn't that what the practice of science is?) but you get nicer, $hinier toystools with which to investigate.

Sometimes.
