Oh boy. One of my sailing outings in college... I learned why they call it a "boom" -- that's the sound your skull makes when rapped during a jibe.

OTOH, lots of fun in college sailing class. I bet very few people have ever seen their centerboard rise out of the water... and go back in without taking on any water.

I remember sailing in college. To get in the real boats you had to take a class in the sabots.

One day while we out one the bay the wind died. Irons! Because it had a side board I was able to take it off and use it to paddle back to dock.
