That is a funny quote by Eleanor R. I wonder if Hillary has channeled that thought too.
LOL! Since this is a family thread, I will decline comment.

LOL
Good one, OESY.
There are many easy recipes for some yummy stuff.
PS: You will soon have freepmail. ;^ )

Hello Dolly ... those are great. I love the Eleanor Roosevelt quote.
Thank you for sharing them with us.
waiting for my ride (wheelbarrow) for dog walk soon. He called as I was getting ready to leave & volunteered to drive us!
I guess it was no secret that Franklin & Eleanor did not have a romantic/storybook marriage as our current president enjoys.
I have read several of his bios & hers..
Guess he was with his long time mistress when he died even.
She seemed like a spunky /fun woman.. from what I understand just didn’t want more kids & anything “that went with it”.. and in the 40s knowledge was so limited.
good movie!
my timing of seeing it was bad however.. Christmas eve!
My husband respected Eleanor Roosevelt. She personally presented him with the Navy Cross (he already had two purple hearts).
Here is a recipe for Easy Cinnamon Rolls. It only has 6 ingredients and one of them is store-bought crescent rolls.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 - 8 ounce tube crescent rolls
* 1/4 cup butter, melted, divided
* 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
* 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
* 1 cup powdered sugar
* 2 tablespoons milk
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Butter 8 or 9-inch round cake pan. Open crescent rolls can. Pinch seams together to make large rectangle. Brush 1/2 of melted butter over dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll tightly from long end of rectangle. With serrated knife, cut into 8 rolls. Place in prepared pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until tops are lightly browned. Stir together remaining butter, powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons milk to make icing. Spoon icing over rolls just out of oven. Serve cinnamon rolls warm.
P.S. I make these often and always add raisins and nuts before I roll it up.
Mmmm I want some!
That looks great.
I’m getting hungry .... well it is 11:30. *grin*
One of yalls pics the other day had lilacs and citrus growing side by sideIm jealous!
That was mine. Yes, I love our weather and the variety of things we can grow here. There are many reasons NOT to like California, but in many ways it's still a good place to live. If it weren't for the liberals who have ruined this state, it would be a GREAT place to live. They haven't managed to screw up the weather here, but, don'tcha know, they would if they could. LOL
You've bungee jumped!!!??? Are you nuts? LOL! There is no amount of money that could cause me to jump off a bridge with a rubber cord attached to my ankle, or jump out of an airplane with a parachute. No way.
I guess I'll just have to take your word for it that it was "loads of fun". Your wife was smart....any excuse that works would be good enough for me. LOL
Well, that was me! It really touched me, especially when I got to the part about how her son was taken from her too soon. I am going to cry again. :-(
OK - I wanted to say this yesterday, (re: bungee jumping), but thought better of it.
You should never bungee jump if you have (uh, ah, how do I say this politely....) intestinal flu. There. I said it. Politically Correct, too! ;-) Tee hee!
I’m out the door to the PO and the bank. I’m going to skip ordering new glasses until next week
Home to be back soon.
Have a Terrific Thursday, Y’all.
