Wow, what a great experience for you and your kids!
My son was really into "room service" when we traveled too. Once we were were attending a convention at the MGM Grand in Reno, he was about 12 or 13, I think, and we had to go to a formal banquet, we left him in our suite and told him to order something from room service for dinner. I knew he would be bored to death at the banquet and I thought it would be a good opportunity for him to learn how to handle ordering room service by himself. When we called him from the banquet to check on him he said he had gotten dinner and was watching TV. I asked him what he had ordered, thinking he would tell me a cheeseburger and fries, and he said, "steak and lobster and chocolate cake". LOL.

Good morning, MamaBear.
That sounds like a wonderful vacation. I would love to go, but .......
I’m hoping to go to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia in July. The cousin that has made genealogy trips with me is planning to go. If we go, PrissyMissy will stay with my Sis. I think she would be bored searching old records. She would not mind the cemeteries; she enjoys going on Memorial Day.
Did I tell you of the time a couple of years ago, we were at a nursery that had lots of stepping stones? All could hear her as she said, “People are buried here, huh gramma.” Everyone turned to look at her as they either smiled or laughed.

Five quotes from
Michelangelo:
"Genius is eternal patience."
"Good painting is the kind that looks like sculpture."
"A man paints with his brains and not with his hands."
"The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection."
"If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all."

There is a hawk that is picking the birds out of our sky,
She killed the pigeons of peace and security,
She has taken honesty and confidence from nations and men,
She is hunting the lonely heron of liberty.
She loads the arts with nonsense, she is very cunning
Science with dreams and the state with powers to catch them at last.
Nothing will escape her at last, flying nor running.
This is the hawk that picks out the star's eyes.
This is the only hunter that will ever catch the wild swan;
The prey she will take last is the wild white swan of the beauty of things.
Then she will be alone, pure destruction, achieved and supreme,
Empty darkness under the death-tent wings.
She will build a nest of the swan's bones and hatch a new brood,
Hang new heavens with new birds, all be renewed.
Happy Maha Shivaratri Day! .

Well, I hope you get to go on your vacation to WV in July. We may be there at the same time. We haven’t decided on dates yet, but are planning on July or August. We will be spending a couple days with our sweet friend, Nan. I can’t wait to show JK Nan’s West Virginia as we saw it a couple years ago. :-)

If we get to WV, a really distant cousin will try to meet us so she can take us to the local cemetery and the old family farm. It has been in the family since at least the early 1800’s.
I was contacted by this distant cousin via the internet. Our GGGGrandparents were brother and sister. I love meeting distand relatives. : )
I would love to see our sweet friend but doubt that I will make it to that part of WV. Berkeley Springs is in the northeast.

About Maha Shivaratri
Maha Shivaratri is celebrated throughout India; it is particularly popular in Uttar Pradesh. Maha Shivratri falls on the 14th day of the dark half of 'Margasirsa' (February-March). The name means "the night of Shiva". The ceremonies take place chiefly at night. This is a festival observed in honour of Lord Shiva and it is believed that on this day Lord Shiva was married to Parvati.
On this festival people worship 'Shiva - the Destroyer'. This night marks the night when Lord Shiva danced the 'Tandav'. In Andhra Pradesh, pilgrims throng the Sri Kalahasteshwara Temple at Kalahasti and the Bharamarambha Malikarjunaswamy Temple at Srisailam.
Happy Maha Shivaratri Day.
