Howya! Went with Mom to the Wal-mart, got pictures made of Tom, Sally, and Vlad. Now she’s taking Anoreth to the mall. (Good luck getting her to accept any decent clothes ...)

My mother likes to take my niece out clothes shopping...my niece goes grudgingly, just to be nice. Of course there is some utility to it, as my sister doesn't do such a good job providing.

My critters don’t know from DST or ST. They function by the daylight. Changing their feeding times is an exercise in futility, because their little bodies don’t know “time.”
DST was, is and always will be an illogical concept.

Can’t disagree with that. I’m a full blown free market capitalist, but this is one instance when business interests should butt out.

My approach to that is if the stores want more “daylight” to conduct business, open your doors earlier and shut them later. End of problem.
Part of Spain shut down in the afternoons, (the heat of the day) and open back up until the evening. What a concept.

That was easy! Now all we have to do is convince Congress. *snort*

Thanks! I’ll take that with me on my next trip to Capitol Hill. ;o]

We provide fine, but Anoreth insists on dressing like a refugee from 1983. At least she can get some jeans that fit - the ones at Wal-mart are all too big - and a pair of shoes other than her hiking boots.

Hello from the cow patties.
Maybe you should take Anoreth shopping at the local thrift store. She could dress like a disco refugee from the 70s.

I love thrift stores! The problem is, I don’t live even remotely close to one. And I usually do my errands so early that nothing is open that would be fun to browse in.

LOL! 70’s is too tacky, I think. She found some jeans that weren’t too big, but they’re too long. I’ll have to take her to the Vietnamese tailor shop and have them taken up. I could do it, but it would look amateur :-).
Mom’s off with Bill, Elen, and James for pictures, now. I have to take Pat to gymnastics.

Is there a military surplus store nearby.....Then we could say Monkey Face wears combat boots.
