Actually wrote out longhand on paper a tale about ballooning spiderbots in space.
(Ballooning in the sense that it’s what it is called when spiders fly.)
They find an asteroid that has carbonates in the surface rubble.

And ferrulefiber plays a role in place of spidersilk.
(Grounding straps needed when navigating dusty space lanes and landing. Static disharge is a real and fatal possibility.)

Dang... I've got to account for TIME variance as well as angular momentum, frame dragging, paralax, and virtual photon interference?

I was wondering "where" that golf ball ended up...

I’m hoping to do without wine for a few days; I need to lose 5-10 lbs. It wouldn’t be hard, if I didn’t start drinking and snacking around 8:00 every night :-).

The brocolli casserole was bland, but filling. The little girls really liked it. They can have the leftovers (only one small bowl) tomorrow. Sometimes you just have to make something with only 4 ingredients!

Akin to windage adjustments, yes.
Or, as the Apollo program said, aim for where the target will be.
One decimal error, and it’s lights out Virginia.

At this range, one decimal place and we're warming Venus up a bit more...

Ouch.
Venus won’t mind.

Eh... I’m heading for the home front. Maybe a bowl of chili and a nice cold beer will spark an idea.

As in The Event?

Do you have premonitions?

If nothing else, you and your father-in-law can sit around and shoot the breeze....

Um, 15 inches, or so.

We’re hoping that the guy who has plowed our driveway every winter for the last 8 years shows up by tomorrow morning.

All I can think of is falling on my butt-tocks in the snow, holding a six-pack of Lowenbrau so carefully that it stayed upright when I landed.

That was in 19— (something,) and the first snow fell in early October. In Central Utah.

I think that’s when I decided snow was a four-letter word.

Agreed.

Although dreams are weird.

Before Sept. 11, I had dreams of my family hovering in the living room, watching TV, all upset, and generally feeling bad, sad, and scared.

That couldn’t have predicted anything, yet it did.
