Morning Corin - after today you’ll be in single digits for ‘remaining shows’. Reason 64 or so. ‘Never had a countdown before...’
Morning Win-mag; sounded like time well spent - note to self, carharts back into the suv.
‘waiting for parts’..tis the season.
Morning g’nad - ‘minimum acceptable level on components’ again, time well spent.
‘It’s better to have and not need than to need and not have’
Morning Overtaxed - hard to believe it was 61 degrees last night when we walked downtown. The Italian place was pretty good, nice addition to local scene.
We read an interview in the local weekly with the owners of a new bar/night club downtown. (mother and son partners). He was whinging about the city picking on him for his sign being too big, about the posters he had in the windows and the content of the flyers he had left under windshield wipers around town (conent based). heh-heh
Man it’s sloppy out. 2-3 inches of snow overnight... now raining. The water has nowhere to go :~\
Good morning.
My little Firefox weather thingie has a flood watch listed.
I wonder what the roads are like.
To expand upon OB’s “content” comment, I saw the flyers under the windshields and gasped “OMG, they’ve turned it into a strip club!” Actually, no, the owners justed wanted the “ladies” to show up in sexy club clothes and illustrated same with scantily clad models.
That let’s OB and me out :-(
LSA
The roads are probably mostly slush. They’re talking about serious flooding of the rivers draining out of the Olympics... Shelton has one that runs right through town. They’re about to get DUMPED on with rain, after a pretty good dumping of snow. Going to be a nasty day today.
Did you see the excitement last night? Tow truck on 93rd pulled a car out of the ditch behind our place, and then slid off himself. ;~) We saw the lights and heard the winches and walked out there just as he was getting himself pulled out.
Got bupkis here at the beach. Just rain. It tried to snow a little bit yesterday, but went almost immediately to rain. Been raining hard all night.
I woke up to snow on the ground yesterday in Bellevue, and snowing hard, but it quit after sunrise... maybe an inch or less. Drove down here and it was bare and dry the whole way until I got to the old grange hall, and it started snowing really hard, but didn’t last.
Dang.
It’s a little too slushy and wet for it to be fun here... but it’s still snowing, along with the rain.
Hey... the guy in my jury case has been sentenced.
http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/updates/story/217567.html
45 years.
I dunno if you heard J say so, but apparently the jury (after us alternates left) only deliberated for 20 minutes. So I didn’t apparently miss much. That’s barely time to take one vote and fill out the forms.
20 minutes. Heh. That’s quick. But it was a pretty much slam-dunk case.
Well at least it didn’t go horribly wrong after you left.
Feel bad for the daughter in the story. She was in court and testified too right?
Huh...I missed it. Oops!
Slushy roads doesn’t sound good. :-\ I’m supposed to be somewhere at nine, and I’m kinda nervous.
It was nice last night!
We shoulda had a snowball fight and built forts and snowmen and all that in the dark...
I can’t believe his lawyer is filing an appeal! (!!)
Is that just standard routine?
Sometimes, the world is black.
And tears run from your eyes.
And maybe we’ll all get really sick.
And maybe we’ll all die.
So...
Let’s build a snowman!
We can make him our best friend.
We can name him Tom or we can name him George!
We can make him tall, or we can make him not so tall.
Snowman!
He’ll have a happy face, a happy smile, a happy point of view.
If you build me a snowman, then I’ll build one for you.
So, let’s build a snowman!
We can make him our best friend.
We can name him Bob or we can name him Beowulf!
We can make him tall, or we can make him not so tall.
Snowman!
Hey!
(Tapdance solo)
He’ll have a happy face, a happy smile, a happy point of view.
If you build me a snowman, then I’ll build one for you.
Snowman! Snowman! Snowman!
Oh dear...
That’s just way too catchy.
Well, I wouldn’t go anywhere I didn’t have to be, but I’m guessing the roads are more water than snow... the existing snow is holding all the water in, and hydroplaning would be the biggest risk. Just go slow... bring your cell phone.... to call a tow truck with ;~)
