rainin’ off and on... temps droppin’...
got in a little range time before therain with thekidz and my dad... .22 Colt Challenger and Rossi .357...
WTF?
We had ice pellets for a while but now it’s snow....little bitty flakes. The weenies say we’re going to get 5 inches.
Seems to be in a bit of lul right now, birds are congretating at the feeders.
The old Colt Challenger/Huntsman/Woodsman series. Nice old .22 semi you have there. You using CCI stds in it?
We’re back and hitched.
Talon and Jen showed.
Congrats.
Pictures!
Maybe it’s just going to snow around us.
More daylight tomorrow. Woo Hoo!
I took my nephew to the indoor range to try out his "new" Glock 19. Bought him some decent ear muffs to get his shooting career started.
It's been ages since I fired anything in 9mm, and I was amazed at how filthy the Glock was after 50 rounds. It still worked like a champ, like all Glocks should. But I don't know if the 9mm is naturally dirty, or if it was the IMI ammo.
For a touch of class, I let him try my FN FiveseveN. The bore remained almost perfectly clean, and there was no soot all over the insides, like it was on the Glock.
For pictures see Talon.
Wonderful News - Congrats. We were all there in spirit. OB & LSA
That was time well spent. Some ammo seems dirtier and sootier than other brands. The Wolf Brand seems really sooty to me. However, I do know the Glocks will work fine when they are really dirty. Some of the range rentals I had over the years have shown that.
Has he tried the Shotty yet?
Dreamer!! Check the radar. LSA
No, but I think I have him spoiled. He's shot the PS90, and asked me if an AR15 has much of a kick. He's going to be a starving grad student, and probably shouldn't set his sights higher than a decent AK47 clone.
Yup, he’s got the right idea though. As a starving grad student, he probably should stick with .22 rimfire. That’s the last caliber I know of that’s truly affordable.
woohoo... new gun break-in...
IMI is dirty... almost as dirty as my handloaded .45 ACP when I use Win 231... but it shoots great... consistant and accurate...
wonder what kinda powder is used in the FiveseveN?... I’m sure you can find out...
heh heh... yuh done spoilt him...
