Hopkins is a fantastic fighter. The loss to Taylor was controversial. To be honest, I don't remember if I saw it.
This fight will put Mayweather in the “greatest of all time” class.

Yes he has 24 KO’S, mostly TKO’s. He is klnown as a fast handed runner, not as a power puncher.

Actually, more fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys! :)

I think Dehoya would have big problem with Mayeweather
I predict Mayweather take Oscar in fourth round LOL!

Delahoya’s left hook to the body, right cross combo will be key. He must be able to cut off the ring to force Floyd into close combat.
I see the whole key to the fight being Oscar’s left.
Floyd can hurt Oscar, but only by an accumulation of punches. And I think that by being that offensive minded, he will slip on his defense and go for a brawl.
Checkmate Delahoya. 9th round TKO.
But, although I do not think he will be disciplined enough tonight, Floyd could lay back and play pitter patter all night and win a boring decision. But he will not get much respect for that. And respect is what he wants.

Here it is.... first, let me get my bias out front, I used to work for de La Hoya, he is a friend, and very good man.
Having said that, both fighter are great boxers (not brawlers) but Oscar is smarter and much more experienced. Mayweather is faster and knows more about de La Hoya than anybody who has ever been in the ring. I predict it goes the distance and is de La Hoya by split decision...the only real question is "will there be a re-match" and I would say no, Oscar is done, he goes out on top and makes a ton of money promoting.

$55.00 with a
very weak televised undercard. (Only 2 fights; one a title elimination bout; the other a regional title..........whatever that is.)
I'll wait a couple of weeks to watch it while I'm sitting on the 55 bucks that is still in my wallet.
To: Vision
I'm going to go with La Hoya...'cause he's hot. K.O. by the 7 rnd; then retirement.

For most sports you can go to ESPN (or many other places) to get the play-by-play in almost real time.
Is there anyplace on the web that is doing that for this fight?
Is ESPN radio going to cover it indirectly by having someone report in every few minutes?

Usually ESPN will have some type of round by round recap as soon as it happens.

Are you kidding? They threw a tournament softball game so they would have plenty of time to get here and gather ‘round the tv. Hopefully they’ll all remember to shower before they come! :-P

I hope to have a good live thread. But a $55 ticket will separate the speculators from the fans.
