Hey Dolly!
I’m here! Been very busy!
Happy Friday!!! Woo Hoo!!!
long time no see...
Hey there.
what’s new?
Working hard. You?
You crashed out yet?
How are you my main man?
What does your tagline mean?
Working till 8.
Slow night, but I’ve got my emulated Mac running for updates...
How much longer you gotta do the graveyard shift for? Will you get a break soon?
Well, it’s 2am. Six more hours.
It’s slow stuff, so I don’t really take a break. Brought something to snack on though.
Single, but havening to take care of me mum takes most of the time I should be out dating.
When a “real” relationship breaks up, I think the next relationship will be a “disposable” relationship. It’s needed to get the old taste off of your pallet.
Sad but true. NEVER be the NEXT one after a BIG one. You’re in for heartache.
To your post #31....I wish I had know about this when Larry was still living! As you know, he is listed on the WW II Memorial now, along with his picture.
Busy is good.. glad you are okay. So much illness & so much computer problems going around one never knows.
drop in when you can sweetie! we miss you & your sunshine! Is your hubby going to be deployed again or is he “out”?
its only been going on 2 years.. started in Ohio just for ohio vets but now is national. The president/founder is a VA doc from Springfield OH. He, his wife & parents are all involved as volunteers to keep this afloat. Donations pay for all.
They have a priority of ww2 vets and in addition also Korea or Vietnam vets who are terminal with limited time left.
When this project completes in years ahead with most of vets passing, the next group will be the korean vets etc.
The doc is 45 +/-
excellent point Bannie. often one reason is the person did NOT take enough time to sort out before making the plunge again
Norm.. I have seen this the past couple days at the various tops of threads for the donation graphic and I love it.It is poetic & reflects my thoughts well. Thanks. I am putting it here so that it will be with the thread all the time not just a “maybe” it will post during campaign. Everyone who visits here might enjoy reading it. Thanks. Dolly

I wonder if folks realize how much a work of love a forum or site like FR is or how much a reflection of its frequenters it is?
It is a gathering place of the rainbow of the printed word and expressions of the mind , mouse & pen.
It is a constant in a sea of chaos, buffeted by the gales of time and happenings, of controversies and comedic events.
It is what its posters and those who lurk here all too much sometimes make of it, for better or worse.
It is not immune from the laws of the jungle nor does it seek to go the easy path.
It is oft times a target of scorn and ridicule both from without and within.
It is an oasis to many and a trash dump to some who know only how to destroy and not to build instead.
It is an online archive of ideas, thoughts, conjecture, fantasy, reality, and things in between, of things that no longer are and things to come.
If it was not here, where would you be or go?
Would you like to take that chance and find out?
No, I didnt think so. Thanks.

Ditto on caregiving but I do get out quite a bit. Prolly would never be home if I weren't taking care of mom.
There are several of us here who take care of parents or other relatives now or in past.
Welcome FRiend!
cute and unfortunately true.
Joh, question for you & any of your Geek Squad here at FR. (and the few I am pinging who I know are computer people)
As you know I was w/o computer for several weeks & got Internet back by doing the restore to earlier time, that you suggested might help...and it did
I did loose some stuff BUT had backed all up on new external.
My problem now is that Windows Firewall keeps turning off, about 2 times an hour. I have to go to the bubble & manually select “enable”. This is okay , but a pain in neck & never happened before. Now when I leave the computer I disconnect the Internet to not have bad nasties come visit.
I have fix it utilities which is also virus/spyware. I also have Spy sweeper & ad aware & have run them all regularly.
