The wind blows harsh across the land And snow begins to fall I sit and watch as it whirls around A blizzard now so grand
Snow, some call bitter and cold Wraps me in a while cloud Where nothing can harm or hurt Oh, how I love the snowy day
No work is more important Nothing has to be done At least not yet, not until Its stops, but oh I hope it will not
For there is nothing more I love to see Then earth silently covered with white All mine in this corner where I am Let the harsh wind blow and the snow come down
You can dream while it snows Remembering other times Put all behind you now As a perfect world emerges
Don't mar the snow with tracks Let it lie soft and clean And take from it the glory Of a beautiful snowy day.

Beautiful poem and graphic. Some parts of NY are in for a humdinger of a storm. We have flurries now.
To: Lady Jag
Ooooops, just looked at the Weather Channel, we are gonna get socked.
To: MEG33
This morning we awoke to snow flurries. This has been an unusual winter, hardly any snow (about 1 1/2") and weathermen say this will be our biggest storm yet.
Parts of MA are due to get upwards of a foot of the white stuff. Down in southeast MA, we're due just a little snow which will be washed away with rain tomorrow. Let's see how correct they are.

No..I found it last year and just kept it because I liked it. Perhaps it reminds me of times at my grandfather's farm..without the snow.

All our snow is gone and I hope it stays that way. They have been predicting snow for a couple days but we have none...
I saw a weather map and it looks like it will miss us but get you Feather. Is Mass getting hit? My brother and Grandmother live in Ashland.

Looks like this storm is going to go on for days.
Three to five inches is not much, however, over a few days is could add up.
To: The Mayor
You were due for a break!

I bet The Mayer lives in Oswego County. They often have bad winters, but this one was horrible.

Nah, Mayor does not live there. He is out west in the state.
