ummm, I think if she was going through withdrawl it probably would have happened when she was born and it would be over with by now...addiction symptoms are usually apparent at birth, aren't they? And, IIRC, even Larry has said that the baby is doing just fine, that she is healthy. Either this story is completely false and hyped re: DNA test, or I think something else has happened. It's been said that since this is a daily paper, the article probably isn't related to the DNA testing either, since that was several days ago.

I asked for the News Desk and got voicemail. Although I left a message asking for confirmation, I don't think I'll get a reply. Is there another dept I should ask for, anyone know?

TRAGIC Anna Nicole Smith’s baby daughter Dannielynn has been rushed into hospital in the Bahamas.

The seven-month-old tot was taken to the Precious Posterity Pediatric Centre on the sunshine island by Anna’s lover and lawyer Howard K Stern.

There are fears that she may have been born addicted because the model was known to have on-going drug problems.

The doctor who was listed at the place the story says they took her - also handles sepsis in babys. I hope stern has not been poking her with any dirty needles

You said you 'asked for the news desk', does that mean you pushed a button or you actually got a voice....probaby pushed a button for the news desk, but if you got a voice first...I wonder if you tell them you want to talk to whomever can confirm that story, if they'll put you through to someone? I just emailed them and told them they better have the right information and that I want them to either update the story or send me some kind of confirmation for my 'blog'...lol, this is my blog ;)

Yes, I got the central operator. I just called back again and asked to speak to a live person and she said that no one would be in until tomorrow (Sunday).

Maybe they'll reply to emails.

I'm suggesting that Stern and Smith kept the baby sedated since she was already addicted; and Stern was trying to detox DL before having to turn her over. Why he hasn't had her examined for drug addiction is just beyond the pale.

If HK$ was driving he would have RUSHED.

If taken by ambulance it would have been noticed by someone.

What time of day listed?

He may have had to take her because he is being evicted.

OMG...you're right...I never though of that...maybe the baby WAS born addicted and they have just kept giving her small doses to keep her sedated or trying to 'detox' her themselves....seems I recall reading/hearing about that possibility of sedation or something, but I haven't kept up with all the information...do we have anything on this?

That's ok I just wanted you know that we had done just about everything we could do (searches, calls and emails) except call the UK - but that has been done now.

If you're right...he probably didn't have her tested because he already knew she was addicted....didn't LB report at some point that the baby was born with methadone in her system?
