YIPEEEEE! Two hours next time!
Charla looks funny. I'm sorry, I can't help but laugh. I bet she does really well because she is absolutely fearless.

MAKE IT TWO
FOR CHARLA & MIRNA
By breaking away from other Teams in the Maputo airport cousins Charla & Mirna earned a huge lead landing in Tanzania and sailing to island of Zanzibar to claim a second victory in a row. Meanwhile, the airport turned into a nightmare for three stranded Teams who fell over half a day behind resulting in the elimination of married parents Teri & Ian.

Stepping onto the mat in last place, married parents Teri & Ian received the bad news from Phil that they had been eliminated from the race. Ian remarked, "We're going home to our families, our children, to continue a great life. Teri's the love of my life. She's always been there for me. I wouldn't want to be in life without her." To this wonderful sentiment, Teri simply added, "Ian loves me like no one else can."

Now take off that stupid hat!

Can they fly anyplace they want? Cuz I'm thinking if I was stuck in Maputo, I would've tried to get to Paris, then fly out of there to Dar Es Salaam..That's what we were hollering at the tv, too. Yeah, I was hoping we'd seen the last of Team Thong, but no such luck. Can't wait to see Charla in the armor next week. Not to be un-PC, but little people armor?!?

I think I would have tried to find a flight to Nairobi, Zanzibar, or even Addis Ababa before heading in the opposite direction of Dar Es Salaam by flying to Jo'berg.

There is now officially no one to root for.

True....the "Hat" departs my screen...
Oh man, but the Guidos are toast. I figured by the time they arrived at the pit stop, the first set of teams had either left or would be leaving shortly. Same thing that happened to them in Alaska. **sigh** I don't think next week's elimination is going to be much of a surprise.
If there was that big a problem getting out Tanzania, why didn't they do the "get this flight or that flight, first come first served" and get bookings ahead of time like they've done in other situations? I'm not big on the spoon fed transportation thing, but if you're going to do it in certain instances, why not do it in a place where getting out of the country is extremely difficult, rather than out of somewhere like Miami, JFK or LAX?

They changed the rules last season where you are now "Marked for Elimination" and have to finish first or face a 30 minute penalty instead of losing all of your possessions and receiving no cash on the next leg. I hated the begging for money too.
