Yeah - You’re right... they wouldn’t believe me... I’d have to have one of the kids post it.
I’m going to try to talk my husband into going to the Island Wed for fish and fireworks but most likely I’ll be home, in the back yard all alone with my fireworks.
That echo you heard was me screaming in Texas. I have a new tagline apropos to the situation.
LOL - Good morning. They walk among us. :)
Great trail ride pictures, Frog and Bladerider. Wonderful about the rain too. We still have not gotten any. I am not complaining, after last year's wash out. Our fair starts next week, so I am sure it will rain then.
Good morning all!
I’m going up to the beach house today... help my brother pull his sailboat out of the water... he’s selling it.
Everyone have a good day... See you all tonight!
Love the new tagline! And yes, they are everywhere over there.
Geez.....
Becky
Frog, nice pictures of your ride, I’m glad you’re getting rain. We still are.
Hair, have a nice day. How’s ecurbh new job going?
I’ve been scarce here...fighting a toothache since Sat. night. I’m going to the dentist this afternoon...ewwwwwwwwwwww....

So, do you have any info about the river flooding?
I caught just a snippet of the local news during a show I had recorded, and they were saying something about it. Was it just a piece to snag us in to watching the news? By the time I saw it last night the news was over. I noticed yesterday when I was in town the river was about to the top of the banks.
Becky
Aw geeeze.... sorry about that.
His job is going OK I think! They’re giving him lots of work to do!
She’s going to Miami OK today to help out flood victims... with her church group.
Good. It's been tough transitioning back into an office environment, but I really enjoy the job.
Hey, that’s great:).
Becky
Sheesh!! Really? I haven’t been that direction!
I haven’t heard anything...are they expecting it to leave it’s banks?? I live a mile a way...it wouldn’t make it up to my house, would it? Do you think?
As Hair said, I’m headed to Miami...will be back tomorrow night.
Ok then.
I was just curious about what was being predicted. The thought crossed my mind yesterday when I noticed the river that it could possibly flood. A lot of that would depend on how much rain they are getting up river, and I don’t know that.
Hopefully they have the forecast right and today is the last day of rain for a few anyway. We have gotten 20 consecutive days of rain which is a new record. Today would be 21.

Well I can commiserate. My hubby works night shift so I will be home alone, no fireworks allowed in our drought conditions but I am sure the neighbors will have their share of firecrackers and the Youth camp down the road has permission to shoot off a few so I will be keeping my eye on snorting horses and shivering dogs.
I’d been wondering where you were! I hate to hear about the toothache. Good luck at the dentist. I know you hate having to have that done, but I’m sure you reach a point with a toothache that you’d just as soon they cut your head off as deal with the tooth pain anymore. Hang in there!
It could have just been one of those overly dramatic clips to get people snagged to watch the news.
Do you know if your neighborhood/house had water in it in ‘86. That’s the only time I’ve known the river to flood. I think when you bought the house they would have had to tell you if it did. I think the south side of the river flooded worse.

Mack kept offering to take me out to the shop, put my head in the vise and pull it with some pliers (he’s so compassionate), funny thing, a few times I was just about ready to take him up on it:)
