Heh...
LOL, I got mine from your HH post:)
Becky
LOL - wanted you to see that :~)
Thanks, I caught it on the HH, and LOL....just as he was posting over here.

Well, a whole day gone already! It's almost dinner and Jack time! We have to go clean stalls here... talk to you later.
That's exactly what I've been doing, getting things ready for dinner. Time to go feed too.
Becky
Take it easy and keep warm. New England States are suppose to get hit hard also.
He thinks a major snowstorm not seen by the National Weather Service will hit Marfa, TX area..The Big Bend. He wrote an e-mail to the city to give them w heads up. Here was the e-mail.
... I saw the chances last night. I wanted to wait to see if things would improve but they have not. The National Weather Service may be downplaying the amount of snow you could receive with this storm. You see, your area doesn't see much snow, so they are playing it safe. I saw snow with this storm here in the valley's of Southern California. I advise you to take this not a warning, but a FRIENDLY reminder. I am seeing the snowfall beginning tonight in areas, but lightly at first. I will advise you bring this to the emergency attention so they can be on alert for this one PLEASE. If this comes true, I have a guideline for you and how much snow you should receive. Follow the guideline. If that amount of snowfalls in that amount of time on the times I list, this event is on track.
Monday January 15, 2007 9PM to 12AM - A dusting to just under an inch of snow could fall.
Tuesday January 16, 2007 12AM - 3AM - Almost 2 inches could fall.
3AM - 6AM - 2 to 3 inches could fall, but closer to 2.
6AM - 9AM - 2 inches could fall.
9AM - 12PM - 1 inch could fall.
12PM - 3PM - 1 inch could fall.
3PM - 6PM - 1 inch could fall.
6PM - 9PM - Snow could fall with only under a inch. A dusting.
9PM - 12AM - 1 inch could fall.
If im right, this should end gradually sometime Wednesday Afternoon perhaps. Please use this guidline. Save it. If the accumulations are coming true, you may receive almost 14-16 inches of snow by Wednesday. Just under or about 6 inches should fall by tomorrow sunrise if it's on track, with the rest over the day tomorrow, and into Tomorrow Night.
I would ask anyone that has people near there. Friends or Family give them a warning as well. This may, or may not happen. It never has happened in recorded history either.
I saw on Intellicast that snow was falling in Big Bend, about 100 miles south of Marfa.
Well I fed the horses down on my leased 70 acres, lots of oats ans sweet feed plus a flake each of alfalfa, plus hay altho there is good grass down there.
They were so grateful and hapy to see my truck lights!
Now a big fire in the fireplace, Sam cat snoozing in front of it, and by Jimminy I found the remnants of a bottle of Johnny Walker left over from Christmas, under the sink.
A drink of whiskey never hurts, when you are snug inside and border collie and cat snoozing by the fire, a good book, and everybody fed and happy.
We are getting rain and it is freezing as it falls. Stay warm, all.
The dog is in the garage and the horses are blanketed in stalls. I cancelled class. We are expecting sleet. Okie was in the back pasture under a small tree at the fence line. He was all hyper like he was confused. Kept looking around. He and I were both sliding in mud. That is an eye opener to see a horse sliding side ways toward you. Sarah Lee was huddled behind a hay stack. She was a little spooky too. After I got them in the barn she was ok though. He still couldn't stand still. I was thinking I was going to have a fight on my hands with the blanket. I didn't and a few minutes later after on he was all calm and mellow. The owner said he was cold. Anyway she moved some stuff and made some more stalls available.
We passed that place in West Texas. The owner of my stables usually calls it right. Most times she pooh hoo's the need for horses coming in. She says we are gonna get slammed and bringing them in tonight. We'll see. Our weather so unpredictable.

My husband had to come pick me up. My battery died. Been a strange day.
Girl, I gotta say you know how to deal with bad weather :)
Glad you and the dawg and the horses are all tucked in - they were probably upset about the weather or weather coming in.
AHA! Room was found at the inn after all! Good for you and yours!
Well when I left, they were eating supper and if cats would have been purring.
:) Can't ask for much more than that can you?
