I know all about that 3ft down stuff. Lee broke off the freeze-free faucet at my BIL's house with the tractor and we had to dig it up and fix it. Digging through 3 feet of waterlogged Alabama clay ain't fun. And trying to get the pipe clean enough to glue is a real challenge too. It ain't a job I'd wish on anybody. And you've got to wonder, why did that one freeze and the other's didn't, unless maybe the drain field got stopped up and it couldn't drain the pipe anymore. You'll find out in the spring I guess.

Boy, those sure some big fat birds on the bird bath there! Are they doves? You ought to go take some hot water out there and melt the ice so they can drink.

The "Tack-Around" rear tack, really sold me on those trailers. He emailed me and said I could swap out a awning instead of the A/C. It takes about 8 weeks to build one, so that would be ideal. A trip to North Carolina might be in store for me. :)

Speaking of profile pages, I really should update mine. Being as I don't trap shoot anymore. Got to put some "Bodie" pictures on it.

Your doves would like some water please :~)

The sun does make it all look more cheerful! What a fast change for you, after warm weather last week.

How's the machine? Staying warm?

Does look pretty. The horses are enjoying the sun at least. Maybe the sun will melt some of the ice. I bet it is rather crunchy to walk on.

All's good then. It's still remarkably cold here, and even with packing all the water out from the house, I sortof like it. It's bright and cheery. We might get some more snow tomorrow, that'll clean it up, ours is getting a little worn down.

I don't know why it froze and broke. A theory is that it is in the least protected area, all the others are next to sheds or garage or barn. Bob picked up a hose to water this week (we walk all the water out of them after using) and it broke in four pieces. The rubber just couldn't handle the temperatures.

I remember Alabama red clay :), fortunately, we're pretty much sandy.

Rain here too. It was freezing this morning, which made it tough going into work. It rained on Sunday so I didn't go to the clinic. They have an indoor arena, but I wanted to sit some and not stand all day.

Aw c'mon Beaker, you're no fun to mess with! You just caved right in there. ;o)

Seriously though, I understand. When you're out in the cold and are doing something, then it's not as bad as when you're just sitting there watching. I guess the movement keeps you warmer or something. I'd've been tempted to just sit by the heater with some hot chocolate and read a book.

Ok, well you got me. It was actually killer bees that prevented me from going to the clinic yesterday.

Killer bees! In December! Would you mess with Killer Bees in December? I wouldn't, 'cause those must be some wicked hardy bees. :-D
