Awwww, what a cute pup! Cartman looks like he’s thinking “What the heck IS that?!”
And DANG what green grass you have! It looks wonderful. All we have left is dirt.
Grrrrrrrr!!! You'll get NO sympathy from me! ;o)
I know, and I am very sorry for you, we had your problem last year.
This is so frustrating, feast or famine...nothing in between.
I was noticing yesterday when I was riding at all the grass that is out there. And the little pasture behind my house has more then it ever has. I’m getting the fencing fixed around it so I can let Rocky out there some.
I’ve been noticing all the horses around that are out on pasture 24/7 and thinking, I’d be starting to worry about founder/colic. This grass has to be very rich and high in moisture, easy to pack up in them?, wouldn’t you think.
Becky
Cartman can’t see anything... so he’s liable to just start swinging blind. :~)
The pup’s name is Casey... but I think by the time they get back it’s going to mostly come to “Monster”. :~)
What an adorable puppy, Hair.
Becky, the problem with colic/founder, comes when they have not been on grass for a long time, say over winter, and you turn them out on the new growth. We always let ours out for only a short time, until they get used to it. Sorry about all the rain. It has just been picture perfect here. I finally finished my rock project out front.
Pictures??
Well, little Miss Ellie is going to the trainer’s this evening. He’ll keep her for a month. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of a gait she comes back with, since all I’ve ever seen her do is trot. But Hope did that too, and still does when loose in the pasture, but she has one of the smoothest, most even racks I’ve ever ridden when under saddle. So who knows.
Oh goodness what an adorable puppy! A-dorable! With a capital A!
How’s Cartman doing, by the way?
Well good luck to Ellie! Keep us posted.
Cartman is just fine! He demands to go out, he won’t be kept in, he claws the carpet to get us to let him out.
He enjoys walking around the yard, he seems to feel his way around and know where he is. He still tries to go next door to Rosie’s sometimes, though I try to call him back or go get him, he’s not safe out there if he got lost, or a stray dog wandered by, he’s oblivious.
When I saw the pics, I thought he was yours . . . and I was thinking, "Why on EARTH a Miniature Schnauzer???!!!???"
They're smart and they're sassy, but it just didn't fit with the sporting dog mindset if you know what I mean.
Thank goodness we're through that period and Ruby is reliable in the house!
So far no problems... He’s a pretty quiet puppy really... is pretty content when in the playpen, and he comes to you if you call, so that’s nice!
It’s a bit of an upset to the house, the kittens are not sure at all about it, Tweek has barely come out of the back bedroom closet. Pippin is keeping an eye on it.
They’ve always had labs... so it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for Bob and Kay to get either... I think it was an impulse buy ;~)
LOL!! That WAS pretty slick wasn't it! I'll have to keep that trick in mind if I ever get another puppy.
Hey, did you know anything about this?

Apparently they’re unearthing a ‘57 Plymouth Belvedere buried in a concrete vault under the Tulsa Courthouse lawn 50 years ago to celebrate Oklahoma’s 50 years of statehood. It’s pretty interesting!
I did so much research for my second dog that my boss was giving me a hard time. Said "You give new meaning to the term 'informed consumer'." I know this dog's pedigree a whole lot better than my own . . . .
