Finally, got the transfer signed by the co-owner for Bodie. Now, I need to mail them in. Gosh, I sure hope everything is correct this time.
Well, I fed horses their hot mash and fed breakfast as long as I was up, good thing, because I just now woke up again :~)
Buying sheetrock in the rain is not as bad as the guy I saw who was trying to by concrete mix in the rain :~)
Hope you can get it home dry.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, both for the drywall getting home dry and for Bodie's papers going through okay :)
I slept in this morning too but don't even have the excuse of being up in the middle of the night. Temperatures got cold enough here to break the handle of one of our no freeze faucets - that's going to be interesting, it's the one to water the horses in the back. We'll have to run a hose from the house or the barn out there. That will be so much fun to walk the water out of it :(
Jeepers. That's no fun. I packed warm water buckets out at 3:30 and we just did it again, but we're only watering three horses.
There are only three water troughs out back, the rest up by the barn have heaters in them. Not fun but maybe we'll have a heat wave soon :)
You riding out your weather from your easy chair? Hope all's well there.
We're doing fine. Just got back from town. The roads are really not bad, you just have to be careful. They are forecasting freezing rain which is altogether a different story then sleet, so we went and bought groceries. We are set if we can't get out tomorrow. We have probably an inch of sleet right now/

I'd love to see a picture of the mare. That sounds incredible. What's SL doing?
It is. I've seen blue eues but not like this. Sarah Lee? Just being a brat. I've been really busy and haven't being spending as much time with her as I usually do and it's showing. Shoot. this storm is coming in colder than expected. Yesterday, it was just one night of 30's. Now they are saying 3.
SL just needs some work. Hopefully your weather will get better and your work hours will lessen. She should be okay in the temperatures if you aren't getting freezing rain also.
Gads.... hope you can get through this storm and keep the ponies happy.
Becky, same to you.
Our horses aren't real happy with the footing around here. The thick mud right by the barn is now frozen in big ruts and moguls, and when they step on it, it sometimes breaks through to the mud below. It reminds me of the crusty lava fields in Hawaii where it's crusty on top but still molten underneath. Except it's cold ;~)
The barefoot horses appear to have the worse time of it but even Bay is acting like it just hurts to walk on. They make these clumsy, lunging rushes through it in and out of the barn.
You've been to Hawaii?
No, I haven't been... Just seen it on TV :~)
Everyone in the ice storm area still OK? Got power?
Oh, ok. I thought that would have been cool but I just couldn't imagine you being away that far or that long from Bay:')
Heh... It would be cool, but I'm not much for big trips. Did go to Florida a couple years ago though.
The only big trip I'd love to take someday is to go to Africa. I want to see lions and zebras and giraffes and elephants in the wild :~) And take my camera :~)
I hope everyone survived the storms ok. Drizzle here this morning, but we managed to get the sheet rock/green board home ok, yesterday.
I saw it on Intellicast, sweeping through Central OK. Thought of you.
It's coming here tomorrow they say. But you never know.
I am getting ready for a trail ride last of Jan. I actually washed my trailer.
